I feel like a lot of people get "All Art is Political" confused with "All Art is made with Political Intentions" which is not the same.

happy pride month to this post specifically
Get a Library Card even if you never use it
I also want to mention something that I’ve noticed
YOU ARE A NUMBER. THIS IS GOOD.
When it comes to applications and grants, the number of active cardholders, total number of books checked out (even if you never got around to reading them), number of patrons who attended xyz at location, these number all matter.
this goes equally for programs as well in a way. If a program you love is underfunded, there are ways you can help, simply by being active, attending concerts, seeing shows, ect.
please someone who actually works in non-profit admin correct me if I am wrong, but from my limited understanding, every single action matters when it comes to budgets and programs.
you don't even have a dog
"Why did Stratt pick a school teacher" — because my guy can frankenstein Venus out of plywood, some duct tape and a dream. "I'm not qualified" — buddy, you have scientific background and the resourcefulness of someone who is used to having zero budget. I love this specific part of the plot that is "let's take the guy who can problem-solve things with zero money and give him unlimited budget and see what happens".
Imagine Grace defined his name as the elegance definition of grace and Rocky spends years thinking how fucking ironic this clumsy leaky space blobs name is.
Until Grace slips out a sentence along the lines of "could you give me a little grace here" and Rocky immediately points out he used a word wrong so Grace has to explain that yeah, grace means elegance but it can also mean mercy sometimes too.
And Rocky has to suddenly reconcile that the clumsy leaky blob that saved his life twice, that almost certainly doomed himself to come back for him, name is Mercy.

she's platonic about it but in my opinion, stratt 100% treats grace as her dead wife. she keeps a tacky fox trinket in her coat pocket. there's a framed photo of him in her study . he's grinning goofily in it (bc he's a dork). new guy like: is that her husband? / no, dumbass, it's dr. ryland grace, 1/3 of the hail mary mission. / oh, fuck. were they... ? / yeah, it's unclear. black-and-white montages of grace messing around in high-level meetings play every time stratt contemplates committing more environmental crimes. she looks up at the night sky and vaguely wonders if he's enjoying his space ramen. that's her dead wife. she killed him.
Hello, Trina, thank you for sending this. Goodness, Trina, I am relieved.
FALSETTOS (2017)
there are two wolves inside of me. one is wolf 359. one is wolf 359's clone that i've locked outside my space station in the middle of a solar flare.
Oh, how I love to see it. Keep booing.
my two current main interests, discuss.
it really goats my fuck that benoit blanc and cordelia cupp can never solve a case together because a) benoit blanc, the movie detective played by daniel craig, is mentioned in The Residence by name and b) they would solve the case together in 10 minutes and spend the rest of the show birding. unrelatedly, i would fucking kill for a show where cordelia cupp and benoit blanc go birding

[image 1: a tweet by KatysCartoons, whose profile picture is a stick figure whose head is colored in with the trans pride flag. the tweet reads, "Atoms are binary. They are either intended to be hydrogen or helium. We can't just scrap this worldview just because of a handful of exceptions". embedded in the tweet is a pie chart entitled "Types of atom in the universe": seventy-four percent hydrogen, twenty-five percent helium, and, in tiny font, one percent other.]
[image 2: the periodic table of the elements, except that hydrogen and helium are in their own box labeled "Real elements", and elements 3 (lithium) through 118 (oganesson) are labeled "Mental illness".]
.
incidentally this periodic table must've been drawn in the past nine years, since it doesn't deadname oganesson
