Protesters have camped for months at Tennessee’s Capitol. So lawmakers made it a felony.

“This is all about criminalizing peaceful protesting,” said Justin Jones, an organizer of the protesters who have camped at the state capito

It’s important to point out that protesting generally hasn’t been made a felony, but rather the camping that the protestors are doing (and the legislation also includes other things to discourage protesting).

This is still really bad though, because the right to peaceful protest is protected in the Constitution, and even if protesting isn’t outlawed outright the government is still criminalizing an act of peaceful protest just because it’s a protest.

Furthermore:

According to tn.gov felons in Tennessee lose their right to vote. This is called Felony Disenfranchisement

So this means that the Tennessee government just passed legislation that would render the protestors unable to vote.

School fremione headcannons:

Fred Weasley wants Hermione to tutor him in transfiguration (what I imagine is a weaker subject but he realizes is useful after seeing Hermione perform clever/advanced transfiguration he can use for future WWW products). Even when he gets a great grasp on transfiguration, he still slips up just so she keeps tutoring him.

Hermione asks Harry and Ron about quidditch when she realizes she starts to have a crush on Fred. But she gets bored with how fired up her friends get over their respective teams/plays that she relies on books (ofc) to get her information. This leads to her interjecting technical knowledge or useless facts whenever the subject comes up with Fred. He finds it secretly endearing.

As soon as Fred hears about Hermione’s absolute disregard for the legitimacy of Divination, he makes fake and overtly ridiculous predictions at random to make her smile. He starts to realize he has a crush on her every time she rants to him about how ludicrous divination is.

When Hermione becomes prefect, she occasionally finds condemning evidence of the Twins’ product experiments. Instead of turning it in, she would dispose of it (unless she thought someone was in danger). She sometimes kept a product or two to study it because she admired the brilliance behind a lot of their products.

Post school head cannons in a perfect world where Fred lives:

When Hermione has nightmares, Fred holds her and sings her to sleep to help with her nerves. No, he can’t sing perfectly, but Hermione finds it soothing anyway

Hermione is the one to propose but only because she gets annoyed that Fred doesn’t get the hints she’s been dropping for months. But when he says yes her annoyance melts away completely

Hermione enjoys Fred’s natural curiosity to mess with muggle items and cherishes the talks they have where he asks her if it’s possible to utilize a muggle item as a magic item students would enjoy.

Fred’s favorite muggle hobby is gardening. But only because when they went on walks, he observed her taking her time to admire the flowers.

Next to him, Hermione Granger sniffed and said, “watch your language, Weasley, there are first years around.”

George laughed so loud that he accidentally drowned out Hermione’s retort (though Fred’s ears turned an ever-so-subtle shade of pink at whatever she said).
