Platonic here, inappropriate there, no but actually the funniest thing about the Whitaker-Amy situation is that these two pictures are just ten months apart. Amy lost the "love of her life," had a baby, and is at risk of having to sell her home, but ten months of hanging with Whitaker was enough to transform her from a devout, staid woman in the most unflattering 1970s maternity blouse into a fashionable smiling young person with a proper haircut. She even dyed her hair! She lost the cross necklace! That's the power of vintage funk! The avocado diet glow-up! Listen, I don't know if this is Whitaker stealthily queer-eyeing his new friend, or if his dick is truly magical, but either way this woman is living her best life.

Colin says he wouldn’t care if Marina loved someone else but his actions later prove otherwise. In Season 1, he never felt real urgency with Marina. He holds back, even when he has the chance.

Then in Season 3, everything changes. He may start off flirting, but the moment Penelope asks for a kiss, he doesn’t hesitate and even goes further. When he thinks she might love someone else, he completely unravels. The jealousy, the intensity, the shift in his behavior, it’s undeniable.

With Marina, it was infatuation.

With Penelope, it’s real love.

And for those saying Colin loved Marina. Colin had no feelings for Penelope and everything in Season 3 was rushed that only makes sense if they ignore Seasons 1 and 2. Their story has been building the entire time.

It’s so funny to me that Portia has to teach her married daughters the correct way to make a baby telling them to drink potions and constantly reminding them to produce an heir. But with Penelope, all she has to do is leave her unchaperoned with Colin and boom you’ve got your heir, mama 🤣 Colin was right when he said to Portia that if she weren’t so narrowly concerned about her own standing, she’d see that Penelope is the most eligible of them all and he wasted no time proving it by taking Penelope’s hand, getting her alone, and giving Portia an heir 🤣

I think mama might take precedence, and she would be an honoured occasional guest. The hungry Bridgerton genes have passed along easily, and the kitchen will never not be baking new biscuits. I love the fancy clothes except the feet, where socks or toes are acceptable since it is, fundamentally, a picnic when one sits on the floor to eat. Colin really is creating all the clubs he wished existed when he was younger and looking for his place. Adorable as usual! I particularly like how you have a clear preference for red hair to present, and Bridgerton brown hair less prevalent in the babies.

If I might suggest one more important topic: "Why it is kinder not to say anything about Grammy Portia's desire to have everything in citrus shades or gold leaf" might be a worthy lecture to prepared them for appreciating gifts that are not exactly what they would choose for themselves. I just know Portia (show and otherwise) wants to dress Elliot head-to-toe like a baby sun god.
