always hated taylor. she is like the queen of white feminism and so is everyone in her squad. and now claiming character assassination. what about getting a million celebrities to be in a video dissing katy? what about all the songs she wrote about her exes playing the victim? what about getting up on stage to accept an award and inadvertently calling out the lyrics in question to deliver a fake ass speech about how people shouldn’t let others take credit for their success?

What Taylor Swift fans don’t seem to grasp, understand, or even want to comprehend is the fact that it doesn’t matter whether Taylor heard or approved the whole “Famous” lyric or not. 

Because what this #Kimsposé revealed is that Taylor, for the most part, is a self-interested, manipulative personality who uses people and situations for her own personal gain. It’s obvious. She did flip the script on Kanye. She made no visible effort to clarify what exactly about the lyric she was offended about, and instead used the hubbub as a way to yet again play victim and gain sympathy in her favor. For the past five months she and her team had us all most of us under the impression that there was no conversation between her and ‘Ye at all. 

All she really should’ve done was just be honest and say that yes, she did talk to Kanye, and yes she did approve the first part of the lyric, but she didn’t hear the rest of the lyric which turned out to be offensive, and that’s why she’s upset, but she appreciates that Kanye had the decency to run it by her first because he was just trying to be nice; they’re friends, and that’s what friends do. They run shit by each other. That’s all. That’s all she had to say. 

This fiasco is also about the fact that KimYe aren’t the only people who’ve had less-than-stellar experiences with Ms. Swift. Calvin Harris, Katy Perry, Ed Droste, Demi Lovato, Harry Styles, a slew of music journalists, and many more have all mentioned one thing or another about Taylor’s crafty ways. Kim put out that video and people realized that, well, if it turns out Kim and Kanye were right, then Calvin, Katy, and the rest of them must’ve been right as well. 

That’s what this is about; the fact that Taylor Swift has made it onto this many peoples’ shitlist says a lot about her—because not even Beyoncé gets this much scorn from her peers (probably because she’s a decent human being), so this isn’t about jealously of success or anything like that. That video was simply the match that lit the gasoline trail of people she’s stepped on over the course of her career, and now that fire is headed straight for the clean-cut public image that she’s worked so hard to create and maintain. 

It’s not about tearing Taylor down for shits and giggles, it’s not about the lyric (or the video), and it damn sure ain’t about feminism so please put that card back in the deck. This is really just about human decency and the dwindling amount of it that TayTay has left now that she’s been exposed and hung out to dry. She may not be particularly over, but this is a big ass dent to her image and career, and it’ll be interesting to see where she takes this. 

But…alas…let’s all take a moment to recognize the biggest, face-ass loser in all of this: Selena Gomez. 

This bitch wanted to hop on Twitter the second shit hit the fan and tell us all about “using [our] voices for something that fucking matters.” People pointed out her hypocrisy, so she then turned. Right. Back. Around. And responded to the ensuing criticism with “well black lives matter is just a hashtag that’s not actually saving lives so why say anything about it anyway and why take ‘sides’!!! Ugh! Grrrr! Stop making fun of my friend!!!!!!“ 

Like…sis…you could’ve just been honest and said “hey, Taylor’s my friend I don’t like that y'all are trashing her like this, fuck y'all, I’m out.” But instead, you opted to dig yourself into a hole that didn’t even need to be dug in the first place, and put yourself in some bullshit for a topic that had absolutely nothing to do with the situation.
