over the years, jesy started changing her body because of the trolls she suffered from. she started tanning & tanning & tanning until she would look like a mixed race person (who she isn’t. her own family’s white)

yesterday the situation was a mess. she released her solo debut BOYZ and on the music video she was the same color as nicki (who’s poc) & there are plenty of pictures online of her & leigh anne were she looks the same color as leigh anne. this is called blackfishing.

she never apologized even tho the issue was brought up even before she left the band (cause she looked darker than leigh anne on sweet melody’s music video) but each time this issue was brought up instead of educating herself & apologize she blocked her own fans. leigh’s sister posted some stories on instagram that were directed to her, also other people who used to be part of her life opened up about it. people close to her tried to educate her for YEARS & also calling her out for profiting off black culture (it’s related to what she said & for her song BOYZ)

Despite it all she keeps looking like this.

wait what do you mean, what is going on with jesy?

I mean there’s kind of a lot of little things, and I don’t know all of it, but most recently, she posted a picture of herself and three friends and captioned it “my queens 👑👑👑” (which is an exact caption she had previously used on a picture of her and the lm girls). but a fan commented, jokingly, “this looks like little mix” and jesy straight up blocked that fan??? And I can understand how that could be frustrating for jesy, but to block your own fans???

She was also literally blocking FANS who were asking her address her blackfishing and the (warranted) criticism she’s received related to her looking/dressing/acting racially ambiguous. She just blocked them and continues to ignore/block ppl who try to ask her to evaluate her behaviors. Which is, quite frankly, really disgusting.

And obviously, we don’t know exactly what happened between her & the girls, but the girls have been nothing but kind and supportive, while all of jesy’s comments about the band since leaving seem (to me) to be blaming the girls for the things SHE went through, which is messed up.

i gotta be honest, i blocked/ muted her name so i would stop seeing all her little nelsonator critters defending her… in saying that after i read this i searched her name into twitter and uhhhhhhh

has she like legit not taken any criticisms of her actions on board??? taken no accountability for the way she’s presenting herself, knowing it’s frustrating & ignorant towards the communities she’s parading around as? she just looks fucking dumb bro 😭 her PR + styling team truly already set her up to fail if she’s still requesting to look like this despite the years of being called out for it

Much like Ed Sheeran & Camila Cabello, i’m not gonna go out of my way to listen to her solo shit but i fear the tiktok gremlins are gonna try get it trending on there so i may hear it against my will but in terms of her claiming it’s what she’s always wanted to do in terms of music…….. sister was never in the studio anyways with LM to have any input- how is she gonna complain that she didn’t get to make the music she wanted if she never attended writing sessions??? i saw this screenshot on twitter and think it sums up my thoughts best lol

she’s so voluntarily ignorant and that’s one of the reasons why i stopped including her in my LM stanning and now she’s looking dumb fr thinking she’s gonna avoid comparisons of her past career & now……… anyways lmao gonna go mute her name again byeeeeee
