Alice the savior, Alice the champion, Alice this, Alice that–The White Queen had been keeping her busy. Although, to be honest, she felt like someone’s favorite jumper: completely worn and stretched too thin. So, when the idea of going on a date–on a informational lead came up?
She simply couldn’t pass it up. Plus, she’d never find her blade by just training, would she?
“I would assume so.” She laughs softly, her own eyes lifting up to the the lights and the pale blue faint of the things she saw–things she knew he couldn’t. “We could ask someone?” Alice suggests, moving towards him–taking his hand in hers.
“Unless you rather go on our own and see what we find?” Alice’s smile twists slightly into more of a Cheshire grin, “An adventure in Myridia, one of a kind? Never know when a chance like this will come again.”
THE CITY IS SO MUCH bigger than anything Varian’s used to-- but that’s part of what makes this outing perfect. He’s never been one to settle for the mundane or ordinary, and in general, the more exciting and new the better. Unless the responsibility to fix it is falling upon his shoulders, that is.
It almost feels like that responsibility’s gone here-- probably partially due to Varian wilfully ignoring every prodding in his mind to use this time for official research.
No-- today’s just for fun.
“ we could ask, ” he replies, “ that would be faster, but i think exploring for ourselves would be more fun. ”
Smile crosses his own lips, and his fingers curl a little more tightly around hers. “ so why don’t you pick a direction, and we’ll go on that adventure-- i’ll map this place out in my head as we go, so we won’t get lost. ”
Hopefully. Varian’s mental maps have been known to be... unreliable occasionally.
