EVER SINCE THE INCIDENT, things have been endlessly busy. The position of “Royal Alchemist” honestly feels a little more like “ Royal Crisis-Responder” at times like these. Everyone seems to think that Varian must know what’s going on, and how to get things back to normal– just simply because he’s pretty much the only person in Corona who really deals with technology. But even then, this tech is unlike any he’s ever seen before.
To top it all off, he’s been having to deal with a lot of Corona’s problems alone, because Alice, who usually helps him with crazy things like this, has been busy herself–
But just for today, he’d rather not think about any of the problems and mysteries they’re facing. Because today, the two of them have both managed to detach themselves from their respective duties to spend a day in Myridia. It’s the perfect excuse– they can visit the technologically-advanced city in order to ‘gather information,’ while really just trying to go on their first date since this all began.
“ so i don’t actually know anything about this place… but there has to be some kind of cafe, right? ” he asks– despite their purpose here being recreational, he still can’t help but gaze around at the buildings, the lights and the signs… everything, really.
Alice the savior, Alice the champion, Alice this, Alice that--The White Queen had been keeping her busy. Although, to be honest, she felt like someone’s favorite jumper: completely worn and stretched too thin. So, when the idea of going on a date--on a informational lead came up?
She simply couldn’t pass it up. Plus, she’d never find her blade by just training, would she?
“I would assume so.” She laughs softly, her own eyes lifting up to the the lights and the pale blue faint of the things she saw--things she knew he couldn’t. “We could ask someone?” Alice suggests, moving towards him--taking his hand in hers.
“Unless you rather go on our own and see what we find?” Alice’s smile twists slightly into more of a Cheshire grin, “An adventure in Myridia, one of a kind? Never know when a chance like this will come again.”
