I really want kids, but do I want to bring them into a world where humanity will probably be extinct by 2050? 🤔
Looking at the smoke obscuring the sun is not exactly improving my outlook. Especially considering that people in the future will consider these days “the good days.” And people will care about this issue when it’s far too late.
And in case it may seem I’m being dramatic:
1. It should worry you that the Pacific Northwest, a typically rainy region, is experiencing intense wildfires decimating the afflicted areas. This isn’t normal. People forced to evacuate their homes due to climate issues will be a common phenomenon.
2. 90% of the world’s honeybees have died. Bees are pretty important for you know, fruit, vegetables, almond pollination. You know why vanilla is so expensive? A typical small vial of vanilla extract is about $20. Real stuff. It’s because it’s hand pollinated. Vanilla’s natural pollinator has gone extinct.
3. Warming temperatures + displaced habitats (deforestation, unsustainable farming practices)—> sick animals—> novel viruses. Like a certain COVID-19. And more will come.
2. Rising sea levels, warming ocean temperatures. Death of coral= death of keystone species. So so many ocean species depend on coral.
Important top of the chain ocean species like sharks are going extinct.
Our ocean is SO important for absorbing heat. So so important. And it’s taken quite a bit of abuse.
3. Worse and worse storms— violent hurricanes. Drought. Fresh water will be harder to access.
In a certain number of years, imagine, the population has never been so large. Yet the earth is becoming increasingly uninhabitable, and more and more people are forced to flee their homes. Your oranges are $6 a fruit because it’s hand pollinated. You are forced to flee your coastline cities because they are underwater. Water is difficult to obtain. Food is difficult to grow because the land is so ruined and destroyed by monocrops and unsustainable farming practices. Wildfires scorch the land.
It breaks my heart!!
Watching movies on a poorly hung projector screen is the funniest fucking thing I’ve ever seen

Are they on a date
I’m just saying
so here’s our favorite adoptive space dad Bail Organa in Revenge of the Sith:
and here he is in Rogue One:
meanwhile, here’s Obi-Wan in Revenge of the Sith:
and here he is after the exact same amount of time:
I’d like some of whatever Bail is having on Alderaan and exactly zero of what Obi-Wan is having on Tatooine
well one of them is the viceroy of alderaan and the other one is living as a hermit in space nevada, sorry that obi wan isn’t keeping up his moisturizing regimen on Planet Sand Hell while bail organa drinks kale smoothies in the shade
I think we need to talk about the under appreciated Window Seat fandom
I mean really? With the book shelves?
It’s like an alcove of happiness.
You want a whole row of individual seats? Fine, here you go.
Or how about a whole window bed for those snugglers out there.
Curtains.. Guys this one has curtains.
Seriously? This is basically a glass cube of bliss.
You can even get them with corners! Not enough corners? Okay.
Ba-BAM!! Corners for cocooning.
There’s also the Roman-esque themed seat for the historians out there.
If you don’t want to snuggle up in blankets with hot cocoa in this then I don’t even know why you’re on this planet. I mean dat stonework.
This one’s an entire rectangle. Just imagine all the cuddling that could happen in there. It’s practically a fortress.
This one’s fucking curved okay? it’s just chillin, up of the ground, and curved for your lounging convenience.
don’t like rectangles or square? Okay. Have a fucking trapezoid seat.
