Working on another painting! Not completely done (and probably wont ever be, right?)
Hard drive failed today, dug up an old one and discovered this in the process. I think I'll finish it up in the next few days.
Playing around with a limited color palette.
Just another value study, the left blob is the sleeve of some jacket. Really tried pushing the values this time. The picture I used as reference was found on the Sartorialist.
Just a progress shot of a value study I'm working on. Made with Krita!
Me and a Friend are making a visual novel using RenPy. Since I do a bit of digital painting and Python and he's studying English, well a visual novel seems like the perfect project.
I stayed up wayyy too late painting this. It's a study of Anne-Louis Girodet's portrait of Hortense de Beauhranais. I started out with the hairy brush in Krita, I used it for blocking in details. This is far from finished, but it's a start. If you'd like to see me paint it, you can find the video archived on my justin.tv channel: http://www.justin.tv/spacewormgo
I used the open source program Geomorph to generate a new heightmap for Overgrowth. I just wrote the heightmap file (a .png) over an existing heightmap, which is why the textures are distorted.
Geomorph is an interesting program. The last update was a little over two years ago, which is a shame because it looks promising.
