i love it in steddie fics when its an enemies to lovers but like.. Only for Eddie. Eddie is out there hand carving his enemies to lovers, star crossed lovers, opposites attract relationship. Meanwhile Steve is just like "can't wait until Eddie trusts me and we become besties :DDD"

Steve had to see for himself if Eddie could really solve it. Turns out... not really.

Honestly they should have let Eddie live. If they wanted him “out of the way” for season 5 and not really write him in properly then they could have just throw him in the jail/prison. Dustin would still have been angry. Slightly different vibes but definitely still angry. Kid in quarantined town whose friend was wrongly convicted(?), who the town still accuses and talks shit about and he cannot really help or even visit. Call maybe if they’re lucky. He would be pissed and still act irrational for sure.

Also then there would have been an actual reason to drop the Harrington lore and mention Steve’s uncle who is a lawyer.

They could have gotten him out at the end too and it would have been so much more satisfying than just killing him off for shock value. At least to me.

Also as much as I love Eddie’s curls we could have had buzz cut Joseph in the season<3 and then with short curls at the very end😭
