You will be taking part in a mysterious EPF case in the year of 2013, only a few weeks after the Halloween Party. Throughout your investigation, you will be asked to use your critical thinking skills and potential puzzle solving to help progress through whatever issues arise during your time on the case itself. You will have other EPF agents as well as the Elite Puffles around to help, including island civilians if it comes down to that. Do note that this is set in 2013! Puffle creatures, such as Dino puffles and so on will not be present right away! Any other puffles, such as the border collie, tabby, ghost and such will not be allowed to show as they were introduced in 2014, however questions about them can still be asked just wont be answered as though they currently exist.

This story will be partially interactive via polls and sometimes character asks whenever deemed appropriate.

⚠️ Potentially disturbing content between characters will be present (such as abuse), just because it is added does NOT MEAN I CONDONE IT IRL/ AT ALL⚠️

⚠️This story will have dark elements and visuals, including character death and gore!! If you are uncomfortable with such themes then please don’t interact!⚠️

Please read any previous asks before asking a question!! If it’s already been answered it’s probably not going to be answered again. Plus I hide clues in most the text 😉

Please keep most the asks close to the plot of the story as possible- I don’t know many fandoms and don’t want to misinterpret it nor does it make sense to any of the characters anyway. However you may be creative with the questions, and allowed to be inappropriate with them (to an extent!)

Do NOT ask me to add your oc I will only do so if i personally feel we’re on good terms/ feel your character is interesting enough to add as a background character/are semi-close acquaintances/ are a friend/ or I know you well enough in person! These asks/ comments will be ignored and deleted; if it continues from the same person they will be blocked and possibly reported, no exceptions, this is considered harassment to me

There won’t be a regular posting schedule as art takes a while to do even when I’m on a drawing spree, plus I’m working on a side horror au while working on this

Character shipping will be present!! If you don’t like a ship pair, keep it to yourself I don’t care if you don’t like it, not my problem, don’t be rude to strangers cause you hate something they like period; this will result in a potential block if necessary

Headcanons will be present! Especially for Rookie and Gary. There will be others present for each of the agents but it’ll be most noticeable through the two mentioned

Swearing will be present!! While I myself as the artist of this story isn’t entirely comfortable with swearing, I tend to use it to push along part of the narrative and make things a little more tense whenever deemed necessary, and to push more towards headcanon I’ve built for some of the characters, if you are uncomfortable with such then please don’t interact or comment anything negative about it please

lets think about this a bit and use the info we have so far... first rookie is acting weird, like much more weird, with herbert's account, and the fact that when he got to the agency today, he couldnt even remember last night, or maybe a few nights, i forgot that detail, but whats important is he couldnt remember it

Then we have the sudden influx of halloween esc puffle sightings, as well as a halloweened themed piece of fabric that was originally from rookie's outfit

with his sudden mood swing, him not feeling good, and the fact he had candy wrappers on him when he got to HQ, the clues all go back to him, we should at some point check his igloo, something feels very, very fishy about this,

and herbert, i believe you, with your not killing a penguin thing, i think everyone is on high alert and also on edge cause of the dead penguins

I don’t know anything about some dumb fabric or whatever… but if it’s from that dumb one, more evidence against him I guess- especially if he’s having what seems to be memory loss or… whatever you said….

That as well as his attitude- that’s something I’d expect more from George or whatever…. Maybe even Larry….

I could care less if you flightless fools are on edge- don’t you think I’m scared myself?? This thing could harm Klutzy…! If whatever it is can kill a dumb bird like yourself, who knows what else it might be able to take down- I could be next for all I know-

It’s probably your dumb birds’ fault anyway that this stuff happened in the first place so why rope me into it…!? Even if I wanted to harm one of you I wouldn’t attempt to kill…. Even if I was at my angriest state….. the least I would leave is a scar somewhere- at worse a bite….

Minor update

Didn’t mean to suddenly go on hiatus here again 🥲 irl sht keeps getting in my way and I haven’t had any chance to work on CST stuff at all, I’m so drained

I’m thinking of potentially doing another collab but I doubt it’ll be anytime soon, not guaranteed quite yet

I will say that we’re almost at the end of chapter 1✨

I just need to finish up this next segment after Dot and Herbert’s meeting to get started on that at all and then we’ll be nearing the chapters climax 😉 hopefully I can even get there sometime this year 😭

Wait, could the “weird dog” puffle Klutzy mentioned actually be another wolf puffle? And when you combine it with the bat, things become awfully Halloween themed…

Do you think some Puffles could’ve gotten some spectral sweets?

Boy I hope not….

Puffles may be able to ingest strange things, but those candies should not ever be consumed by those little guys…. who knows what could happen- especially given it’s no longer Halloween…. those candies were really weird to begin with…. they might’ve gone stale for all I know-

Besides…. If it is another wolf puffle- it sure doesn’t match the ones me, Rook and Guy saw a few days ago…. there were only the 4 colors we found then at the scene….

Those sweets were not really safe in my eyes…. yet penguins seemed addicted to them buggers…. no matter which one it was- they just kept eatin’…. even Guy wouldn’t touch em if I remember right… I only remember seein’ Rook and Gary eat any during the party…. Plus some of Sydmull’s friends

Yeah- Rook loved those things- he’d even dive into those pumpkins I’m pretty sure to find the exact ones he wanted *snort* he loved those chocolate ones a lot- made himself sick off em during the party I think…. Gary only ate a few to see how they’d react- then I caught him snacking on them later that night …. As for which ones they were I’d have no idea…. I didn’t pay attention, I was too busy doing my own Halloween costumes ✨

Thinking back to Herbert’s previous statement…PH, do those Puffles/Puffle types sound familiar to you?

‘Fraid not…. Only new puffles we’ve seen recently have been the 4 wolf puffles, each being in natural colors… gold and rainbow ones….. no recollection of a bat puffle- however they sound rather fascinating if it exists!

Speaking of puffles…. At least ones in our care- don’t worry too much about em, I’ve got someone taking care of that wolf we’d caught a few days ago-

We also have a new recruit that I’d found out in the woods…. Poor thing seemed to be blind…. Had fallen from the clouds I reckon…. She’s in the infirmary back at HQ

And I only know this because of getting injured by my own crafts…. And an incident with that… Larry guy…. When I first initiated Blackout…. My paws were stained for at least a couple days with how much was on them….

So if this incident had been caused by me- do tell me why I don’t have any remnant of blood on me anywhere….

Once again…. I don’t even know when this…. Incident took place- you say it was at night but if that’s true I would’ve been asleep anyway….

If it took place before I had gone to sleep, I was most likely having dinner and chatting with someone…. Privately- and they as well aren’t involved with this disgusting situation…. Since that someone was Klutzy…. He doesn’t leave my side majority of the day….

And even this sort of thing couldn’t have been done by crabs- they’re much too small…. And his pincers aren’t big enough to have caused such damage…. Nor left that clean a cut….. plus even if he did, which I will reiterate he couldn’t have, I’m pretty sure the feathers scattered in that there photo would look much worse than they do there… as if you’d put scissors to a few of them…. Much cleaner cuts on them in a sense…. And a lot messier too…. If that makes any sense to your pathetic and tiny bird brains-

Well, we got a case from The Director that one of the penguins in the island got mauled to death. Presumedly a huge animal, so it was one of the obvious choices that you were probably one of the suspects.

Well how nice of you…. Always jumping to accusations like usual- especially when I’ve already stated I wouldn’t actively go out of my way to harm a penguin with my own paws…. The last time was a miscalculation of my own strength…. And they wouldn’t keep still-

I’m not the only big animal on this forsaken island…!

Second it’s very hard to believe that a penguin was killed…. Sure you can die of natural causes all the time…. But actually get killed…? I’d need to see evidence for this to actually care- cause if you’re claiming it was a big animal who did it, I sure don’t want that thing bothering me…. Nor harming Klutzy and my other colleagues….

Where was I??

I was simply in my cave having a conversation with Klutzy …..and a few others- while enjoying a nice meal…. A vegetarian meal might I add….

Not to mention I have no clue what you keep referring to…. What mauling?? This island has always been disgustingly happy and peaceful…. Only real violence I’ve witnessed is some penguins arguing over a stupid sports team…. As well as you stupid agents bothering me and ruining my plans…. I consider that violence-

And besides…. If you’re saying this happened at night- I’m usually trying to sleep, birdbrain- even villains like myself need their sleep…. Even if it’s not much given how loud you dumb birds are on the daily…. I have no time to mess about outside given how cold the night gets….
