Seated at her desk, Ophelia could see everyone and anyone coming through to see him. That was part of her job. Having been a field agent she always found the thought of being his secretary dull, but at least she got to go home with him each night now. She heard the footsteps first, brisk and heavy. Alexander Cavendish appeared in the door "Hiya," he grinned. She knew he was going to be in a mood now. The newest 00. "Is he in?" he gestured for the door that even he knew she guarded.
"He is," she looked at him, "I don't see that you have an appointment for today" she added, knowing that she couldn't keep him away.
"I'm just going to have a wee chat it'll be quick," he started making his way towards the door. Ophelia stood cutting around the desk to open the door first holding her hand up as she poked her head in.
"Cavendish to see you, Sir," she gave an apologetic look. She only called him Sir at work. At home he was Gareth.
He looked up from the laptop screen when the door opened, eyes widening when Ophelia told him who wanted to see him. For a moment his gaze shifted over to the windows, his mind playing with the idea of just jumping out so he wouldn't have to see Cavendish. The man was...exhausting, to put it mildly. Worse than Bond - something he would have never thought possible.
"Well," Gareth began, sucking in a breath, "tell him I'm busy." He wasn't, really. Just some paperwork that had to be done, reports to be read. Nothing he couldn't have done later. He just...didn't want to see Cavendish. Not now, not later. Not even tomorrow.
"Good afternoon, sir," Cavendish said before she could even tell him to make an appointment. The man was 009. Charming, hotheaded and far too confident for someone who just stepped into some big shoes. "Your lovely secretary here said I had to make an appointment to see my own boss? How bizarre," he shrugged before looking at him behind his desk. "You may leave us, Miss, unless he has any objections?" he looked at Gareth. Ophelia looked at him. Nobody got to dismiss her besides her actual boss.
"Do I need to remind you Cavendish that you are not my superior, and if I am dimissied I take that from him?" she looked to Gareth to hear what he actually wanted her to do.
