[When Santana heard a rapping at her kitchen window, she wasn’t quick to open it. She figured it was an owl delivering the Prophet and her face remained above the cauldron she was stirring slowly, eyes focused on watching the changing colors of the potion below. But when she heard a squawk instead of a hoot, her attention was drawn away, and she slowly walked over to open the window for the raven, eyeing it suspiciously.]
What- did I wake up in the Medieval era or something? [she muttered to herself, hands on her hips as she watched the black bird hop across her kitchen counter.]
Here birdy birdy [she cooed with annoyance, making a grab for the small scroll. The raven seemed to enjoy making things difficult for her, and she scowled once he finally released it. With a loud flap of wings and brush of feathers, Santana watched him fly back through the window, shaking her head before opening the piece of parchment.
Santana’s eyes moved over the letter quickly, her eyebrows raising with surprise. Ophelia was inviting her somewhere unknown, leaving a simple map to a place Santana wasn’t sure she wanted to be, and she turned back to her potion, thinking over which decision to make as she perfected it.
By dusk, curiosity had gotten the better of her, and she pulled on a heavy cloak after kissing Brittany goodbye. Santana followed the map until it led her to an obvious portkey and with another moment of hesitation, grabbed it and let it spin her to wherever it was Ophelia had in mind.
The second she landed with a hard thud, Santana was on her feet with her wand raised, ready to fight if this had been a trap. Dark eyes looked wildly around for any incoming attacks, but as each second ticked by, nothing came. Slowly, she lowered her wand and took in her surroundings. It was some sort of forest, and everything Santana saw seemed to be dripping with thick green leaves or moss. She took a few steps on the spongy forest floor, still on high alert, and tried to make out anything out of the ordinary. When she spotted a stone structure hidden in the side of the hill, she thought that must be where she was supposed to go.]
Ophelia! [she shouted instead of walking closer to a potential trap.] I know you’re in there.
