hey guys, after thinking about it and i hate to do this to you all, but i’m gonna move blogs. the fresh start is a badly needed thing and at this point, it’ll be better for my writing. i’ve reflected over the first blog for roxy and remembered the canons that are more rich in mythology, and the current blog has great and powerful themes and meta. i need to combine and negotiate between them because i feel like i almost lost the touch for writing roxy. plus, i think i need a more comfortable dashboard and the new blog will be a little bit more selective and private. rather than making a promo, i will follow back those i still wanna hang out with, if none of you hear back from me, i’m sorry and please don’t take it personal. so consider it a semi-reboot of roxy!

I finally managed to log on here but, for those who were unaware of my whereabouts, I have moved! As much as I’d like to link the new blog, I want to keep it private and more selective this time around. I’m not as active, considering that school is piling up with other real life obligations. I just tested it for myself. the whole thing that if you’re under the guise of an American VPN (so the internet thinks you’re in America) you can still visit blogs is actually true. I try to always test these things for myself because this website likes to fear monger a lot. then I was still sceptical and I tried some other things, like clearing the cookies specifically for this website just in case it was a cookie based bug because the VPN I used gave me a clean slate to work from. that didn’t fix it. so… is this website now unusable if you’re European? I’m going to contact staff. I want answers.

Hello!

Since yesterday night (Europe) I have not been able to visit blogs unless I force it to view the blog on dashboard. blogname.tumblr.com doesn’t work but tumblr.com/dashboard/blog/blogname does work.

I’ve noticed a pattern in that only European users have this problem. I would very much like to know what’s going on, because it doesn’t appear staff has released any information. If this has to do with the General Data Protection Regulation like people are expecting, I think it would at least be polite to inform us on that and what the plans are (if any). Is this going to last or is it a temporary solution until you figure out something for the data flow in Europe?

If GDPR isn’t the issue, then why are some people (myself included) not able to use the full functionality of Tumblr?

I would very much like to hear from you, Sharona.

Tumblr answered! according to them, this was a mistake that will be fixed!! this is a very generic response but it is a response.

yeah… even though i said i was coming back, already i’m contemplating on a blog move. I’ve been on this blog for 4 years, my first blog move was at the end of 2013, my first year rping on tumblr and in general it’s been a blast. but now i’ve reached a stage where things feel… awkward… i’m not unhappy but i feel like a fresh start is in order… and i might have to up the selectivity by quite a bit for my own sake and again, if i am going to move blogs don’t feel like i hate you if i decide not to follow/interact with you anymore… stay tuned for updates regarding the fate of this blog
