There’s been a storm warning in the netherlands
polstjarna:
“I’m not comanding you. That would be really nonsporting of me.” He decided to look away for a moment, but he put his eyes back on her.
“… Bad at reading people. That is what I meant. If you want this to be more of friendship, you should tell me, not trying to put all responsibility on me.”
“Yes. That would be very that of you indeed. In this setting at least.” She finishes the last of her tea at once after that.
“Well. Can’t say I’m much better at it myself. I guess you are no longer so blunt about what you want then? What do you think about it then. Tell me.”
polstjarna:
“I’m bad with this all, you know. You should drink your tea. It is getting cold.”
She proceeds to take a sip of her tea before he tells her so but sets her cup down again after he speaks to her.
“Bad with what? Friendship? Also. What did I tell you about commanding me?”
polstjarna:
“That’s huge vague hint, just saying. But no, I do not hate your guts.”
“How’s that vague? I think I was being pretty clear.” She waves her hand in front of her own face. “And yeah, I’m sober.”
“--But glad to know that you think of me as a friend then.”
polstjarna
“Me hating your guts? That’s an interesting story over there. I’m wondering where did you get that from?”
“Nowhere. Just saying, that’s what one might get from your words. But don’t worry. I know better than that.
polstjarna:
“Well… Not really, truth be told. Not to the very end.”
“I see. You know, you are making it sound as if you hated my guts at first.”
polstjarna:
“… Yeah, indeed.”
“....Do you think of me as a friend, Ingemar?”
polstjarna:
“That’s what friends do, I think? Like trying to keep the other person happy and such.”
“Mhm. That’s what friends do indeed.”
polstjarna:
“You want to say you’re a bit of materialist yourself, Maggie? Not pretty.” He smiles softly and focuses on the cup the Dutch holds in her hands. It was obviously his manner of joking. “No problem. I will bring to you anything which reminds me of you. Promise.”
“Sometimes. I just like free things, I suppose.” She grins a bit. “But I guess, everyone does. And well, the more reasons for you to come over, the merrier.”
polstjarna:
“… Oh. Are you joking or…?” He is real confused here. “Well, even not, you smelled nice. Enough for me to actually pay attention to it.”
“Sadly, not. Small children are deadly as hell. Juliaen was the same. But thank you. I do like the scent of lavender myself as well. Plus, the tea is nice as well. Feel free to bring me stuff more often, by the way.”
polstjarna:
“Black one with lavender petals and some fruit. Strawberry I think. I liked how it smelled. Reminded me quite of the perfumes you used for our meeting in May.”
“Sounds pretty fancy.” She muses, taking a small sip of the tea. “Huh. You actually remembered what I smelled like back in may? Though I have to disappoint you. That was not perfume. Before meeting you, I just almost ran over a small child while riding my bike and to avoid hitting it I swerved and landed in a lavender field.”
polstjarna:
“Why not? It was not any trouble whatsoever.” He put the cup in front of Maggie and he sat opposite.
“Hmm.. I guess. Still. Thank you. What type of tea is it though?” She slowly wraps her hands around the cup he put in front of her, pulling it closer so she could inspect the liquid.
polstjarna:
“I think you’d like that one tea. I bought it especially for you.”
@oprecht
“Is that so? I’m flattered. Thank you. You did not have to do that.”

Nice try. The lights are off.

Yeah but you didn’t have to get /this/ deep. I’m half-baked. Show mercy.
How can you be like this? Preferring weed over science?
Easy.
Just like this. [ Just stares at him ]

"Well if someone wanted to inconspicuous they will wear whatever but wouldn't care all that much about the shoes, and that's how you can tell someone who is really trying and who is not."
“.....Well, that sure is an explanation. I guess you have a point?”
