2020 Book list

In 2020 I tried to break my total books read in a year record. By May 2020 i was almost 25 books in, well at pace to break my previous best of 40 in a year (could have broken 80!). Sometime in May I happened upon the ALTA fanfiction Gladiator. in 13 days I read 2.4m words of an in progress story. I immediately followed that up with re-reading the first 2/3rds of it, having lost the specifics of that part of it in my blitzkrieg read. After that I dove back into fanfiction something heavy. My 2020 book list reflects that. Not included is all the Sokkla, Tokka ATLA fanfictions I powered through, nor the SOA and AoT fanfictions I enjoyed into 2021. All said and done I only read 33 books last year. Here they are.

Favorite Character: Azula, easy.

Least Favorite Character (one who’s constantly there): Taro, though him being annoying is the point, I think.

Favorite “Antagonist”: Seethus, though Rhone has had a very interesting arc so far.

Favorite OC: Shoji

Favorite Gladiator: The Millennium Dragon, though that challenge has fallen.

Favorite Suitor or a Suitor I wished would make moves on Azula:

Most Relatable Character: Rui Shi; who has to guard the Princess from herself

Character I’d like to see more: Mari

Favorite Canon (Gladiator canon)Pairing: Yang and Haiyan.

Favorite Non-Canon Pairing: any happy ending for the freedom fighters.

Favorite Arc: There are 4 vying for the top spot; ultimately the Chase of Jeong Jeong beats out Ember island, Rough Rhinos, and Attack of the White Lotus.

Favorite Place/Location: the Royal Dome. You can't have Gladiator without a coliseum.

Guessing Game:

Finish the following sentences:

I think Azula & Sokka’s relationship will be revealed when/like/because of … "What's with that necklace that fell out of your pocket Sokka?" Or "why do you two have matching scars on your hands?"

I believe at the end of Part 3 … is there 3 parts or 4? If only 3: I think it ends up with SAHD Fire Lady Sokka. If there are 4 parts though part 3 ends with a missed period and Sokka (and others?) on the lam.
