this leak got me thinking...
mike tells holly (who's entire bedroom is rainbow btw) that he casted prismatic spray to defeat vecna's acolyte
here's what a prismatic spray is in d&d and what it looks like

we know mike lucas and will are at the middle school at one point early in the season. and this is a board that is also in the middle school
PRISM - obviously we just talked about the prismatic spray
FILTER - a big part of mike's arc has been pretending to be someone else
MIRROR - in s5 mike is finally taking a look at himself and recognizing what he wants and needs
REFLECTION - mike is looking back on the last few years and figuring out why he changed and where he went wrong
DISPERSION REFRACTION - dispersion and refraction is the process that creates rainbows
WHITE LIGHT - white light is the combination of all the colors of the rainbow. it appears white to the human eye
LUMINOUS - this is a stretch but idc we have fun here
this leaked pic of mikes heart shield with a star and the moon
and the whole light theme reminds me of what max said to lucas:
"But it's my mind, not his, right? So I should be able to control where I am. I just need to...push him away. Find a happy memory and hide there. Hide in the light."
light represents truth, happiness, warmth, etc. and in the cabin, mike is carefully avoiding it.
until, of course, he reaches out to touch will, something he'd been too scared to do only a few days before. its only when mike stops avoiding will and fearing physical contact with him that he can enter the light. the truth.
the primary colors (aka the love triangle colors mike blue, will yellow, el red) right next to a literal pride flag and the word "SPECTRUM" in rainbow colors
plus that diagram of the primary colors shows the overlap, which also occurs here:
and of course the purple and yellow flowers mike gave el at the airport where mike said he realized there was too much yellow. 70% yellow, 30% purple
70% will, 30% el (their relationship, blue + red)
he can't balance will and his relationship with el. it can't be 50/50. there's too much will in mike's head
and lastly, circling back to the prismatic spray, there was that leak from when they were filming at the hospital and paparazzi saw flashing rainbow lights coming from inside. is someone casting prismatic spray?? is it mike???
