❝ Good Morning, I'm Robin James your host and today we are joined by two WWE divas, The Champion Nikki Bella and The challenger Siren ❞

Both the women gave their best smiles, Excitement bursted through Vanessa as this was the first step of her plan to humiliate both of them but in the best way possible.

❝ Siren, How do you feel about the upcoming match? ❞

Vanessa smiled, ❝ I respect every woman I step into the ring with and Nikki is no exception, we all work in an environment which is male dominant mostly. And to be finally taken seriously and have the world see that women are strong. That makes me excited, even more so as I am going up against a woman that constantly pushes those she fights into bringing out their best ❞

Nikki had immediately wiped away the confused expression, replacing it with a smile.

❝ How about you Nikki? Do you share the same sentiment ❞

❝ I do, Siren is right. This is an environment dominated by males and to have our match receive recognition is quite amazing. ❞ said Nikki.

❝ Indeed, Siren — You have also been venturing into music, do you find it hard to juggle between wrestling and music? ❞

❝ No ❞ said Vanessa with a soft smile, ❝ Music is an outlet for me, a chance to release what I truly feel. In fact there are a lot of songs which I have written and hopefully when the time is right, the people will get to see them come to life ❞

❝ Are they of any specific genre? What can we expect? ❞

❝ A lot of depth and emotion in them, as you know being a single woman there's a lot I want to get off my chest and to have that be through music is quite the amazing trip ❞ said Vanessa.

❝ Indeed, well ladies we wish you both best of luck on your match. Up next we have the WWE champion Seth Rollins ❞

❝ Single ❞ were the first words Colby had said upon seeing Vanessa backstage.

❝ Yeah ❞ said Vanessa with a smile, ❝ We never dated Colby! You just thought we were, it's sad how much you wanted to have me as your property but then again — you were just caught up in your own fantasies to see the reality. Now if you'll excuse me ❞

Walking past him, Vanessa wore a confident smile. This is just the beginning ...

The following night. [ Survivor Series 2014 ] — Backstage .

Vanessa sat on the chair as her makeup was being done. Across from her a few feet away sat Nikki who was engaged in a conversation with her sister. Suddenly Colby appeared approaching Vanessa, much to the dismay of Nikki who's feelings were quite obvious.

❝ Ness, Are you gonna continue ignoring me? It's been a couple of days and you haven't answered my texts ❞ said Colby.

❝ What are you talking about Colby? ❞ said Vanessa, feigning shock across her features. ❝ WE ARE NOT A COUPLE ❞ the words were spoken loudly which captured Nikki's attention. ❝ You see I do not date backstabbing cheating assholes, so why don't you do me a favor and go hop on to little miss Barbie over there seeing as she is well aware of what I mean ❞

Colby's features were of shock. ❝ Nessa, Let me explain! ❞

❝ There is nothing to explain Colby, you decided to cheat on me with the one woman who leaches off of other's success, Congratulations on breaking me completely. You can now go fuck yourself ❞ said Vanessa calmly. ❝ As for you ❞ the words were directed at Nikki. ❝ wait till the next NXT call up arrives. Just as it was easy for him to cheat on me with you, he'll cheat on you with someone else ❞

The Divas Championship Match [ time skip brought to you by my lazy ass ]

A back and forth fight, fueled by real hatred saw Siren coming on top after two moon saults and a DDT. Just as she was set to make the final move, Seth's familiar theme blasted the arena and an intervention saw Nikki coming on top with a rack attack to maintain her championship.

❝ I hope you understand, we had to change things last minute ❞ said Stephanie.

❝ It's fine, doesn't matter anyway. My contract is almost over right? ❞ said Vanessa.

❝ Yes, I was about to tell you the possibility of a negotiation. ❞ said Stephanie.

Vanessa remained silent, these past few years were a rollercoaster which got even more difficult by Colby's betrayal. ❝ As much as I love and still love this business, I want to focus more on my music. I am not saying I won't return, however I feel like a break is the best thing for me at the moment. I hope you understand ❞

❝ Of course ❞ said Stephanie, ❝ Paul and I value you as one of our own, you shown dedication to your work. Which is why I respect your decision and wish you the best.❞

❝ Thank you so much Stephanie ❞ said Vanessa embracing her. ❝ I have to go ❞

As Vanessa was loading the rental car with her luggage. She turned around to find Stephen standing with a concerned expression. ❝ Lass, I heard about what happened, are ya alright? ❞

❝ I'm fine Stephen, I should have known this would happen and now I need to deal with it ❞ said Vanessa, embracing the Irishman one more time. ❝ I have to go. See you soon ❞

❝ Yeah, Listen Vanessa. If ya ever wanna talk. You call me okay? ❞

❝ Okay ❞ said Vanessa.

• note; this jumps a bit to the end of 2014, a month before Survivor Series. [ p.s; idk how to write Irish dialect but this is as close as my mind got me ]

It was right there, in the pit of her abdomen — that ridiculous feeling that something was happening, and Vanessa was distraught, unaware of what to do. Colby's past was a known fact, a fact that at first did not irk Vanessa given that she was never one to judge a person by their past, let alone fault them for their actions. .

No one was perfect. Neither she, nor anyone for that matter.

❝ Hey babe, what's on your mind? ❞ Colby's sudden presence caused Vanessa to nearly jump off of her seat, which confused the Iowan as she seemed a bit off. / she couldn't possibly know / he thought.

❝ Nothing ❞ responded Vanessa with a faux smile. ❝ Just getting mentally ready for my segment with Barbie wannabe ❞ just the mere thought of her made Vanessa shudder with disgust. ❝ God knows, I can't stand her ❞

❝ Why do you hate Nikki so much? She's actually cool once you get to know her ❞

Vanessa's optics narrowed upon hearing Colby's words. Unbelievable , she sighed. ❝ She didn't exactly seem that welcoming of me, and spends every damn minute throwing insults with that stupid fake smile so excuse me if I don't find her cool ❞ her words were spoken in a mocking timbre, ❝ If she's so cool why don't you date her? Now that Cena realized that he can do better than a materialistic bitch ❞

Storming off angrily, Vanessa walked through the corridors past a couple crew members until she bumped into someone. She was about to yell when her eyes landed on a concerned Stephen, or better known by his ring name Sheamus. Vanessa had always liked the Irishman as he had always been a close friend to her.

❝ Lass, are ya alright? ❞ inquired Stephen with a frown. ❝ Did ya fight with Colby or somethin' , you seem upset? ❞

❝ I'm just — ❞ Vanessa was about to speak, but opted not to. Instead smiling gently, ❝ Just got angry by the thought of doing this storyline with that — Fake Wannabe Barbie ❞

Stephen, who was well aware of the hatred shared between Vanessa and Nicole. Had found himself chuckling in amusement, ❝ Why don't ya think of it as a way for ya t'get your frustrations out? Besides, you know that any given moment she'll say goodbye to all of this and walk out. Don't stress about it, okay ❞

Vanessa smiled widely, he'd always find a light in every situation — which was one of the many reasons why she enjoyed spending time with him. ❝ Thank you, you are the best and I don't deserve you ❞

❝ Don't say tat, lass — you are an actual angel and everyone on Smack down and RAW loves ya a lot ❞

❝ well that makes me happy, — I gotta go. See you soon ❞

As Vanessa made her way to the gorilla area, the monitor displayed the current match which was Paige vs Brie Bella, unlike her obnoxious twin — Vanessa quite admired Brie's efforts in attempt to improve herself, which seemed to be overshadowed by Nicole who currently stood at ring side shouting profanities which had Vanessa shaking her head.

As the match had ended with Brie losing, which was followed by Nicole stepping inside the ring to try and beat up Paige. One of the producers nodded for her to step out.

🎥 Monday Night RAW.

Michael Cole; ❝ Siren, SIREN is here! She is here to aid Paige from getting a beating by The Bella twins❞

Booker T; ❝ Well this just got interesting! ❞

Siren threw a punch to Brie, then proceeded to beat Nikki as Paige continued to shift her attention Brie. Siren had dragged the Divas Champion to the middle of the ring where she performed "Serenade You To Sleep" which was an upgraded version of Steve Austin's famous finisher, The Stone Cold Stunner.

Brie immediately hurried by taking her sister out along with the championship belt. Siren helped Paige up, and took a microphone ❝ What you saw now, won't compare to the amount of pain that I will inflict upon Nikki — at Survivor Series, the self proclaimed Fearless One will learn that crossing my way carries extreme consequences ❞ Turning around to face Nikki who was aided by Brie. ❝ You're going to do this on your own as Brie is banned from ringside, See you soon Nikki ❞

Vanessa had stuck around watching the match which took place pitting Roman Reigns against Rusev. Clad in her favorite NWO hoodie and leggings. She sat in catering, fully focused on the match though her mind often drifted back to that same emotion.

Could he have deceived her?

Following the end of the taping, Vanessa had dragged her suitcase behind her. Walking past Jon and Renée who both frowned when noticing her angry expression. ❝ Vanessa, are you okay? ❞ inquired Renée, once she caught up with her.

❝ I am fine ❞ said Vanessa, rather quickly. ❝ What's up? ❞

❝ Jon and I were worried ❞ responded Renée.

❝ Don't worry I am fine, I have to go. Colby's waiting for me ❞

Stepping out into the parking lot. Vanessa drags her suitcase behind her, in search of Colby's rental when upon finding it. She froze when the sight she had been dreading was right in front of her.

Immediately, Vanessa hid behind the closest car in hopes she'd hear something.

❝ I have to go, I'll see you next week. You sure she's heading back to Texas ❞ said Nikki

❝ Yeah, She told me she's going to visit some family there or something. I'll wait for you. ❞ said Colby.

❝ Bye handsome ❞ said Nikki, pressing one last kiss before leaving.

❝ You piece of shit ❞ muttered Vanessa, ❝ You showed your true colors. I'll show you mine ❞

🎥 Monday Night RAW — main event

❝ Last Monday, all of you have seen exactly why I am the WWE champion and why no one on this roster was able to defeat me, I defeated Dean Ambrose, I defeated Roman Reigns and I defeated every single man here — but this is not why I am out here ❞ said Seth, his usual cocky demeanor quite evident as his henchmen "J & J security " stood behind him. ❝ I am here to make an announcement, I — ❞

He was interrupted by the arena lights going dark, followed by a soft humming which had taken nearly two minutes until the lights were back on and in ring stood Siren, dressed in black tights, a black top which had red skulls drawn drawn on it — chocolate colored tresses curled to the side along with her signature makeup. ❝ You're going to reveal how much of a lying cheating idiot you truly are ❞ she completed him with a melodious laugh. ❝ Wait wait — ❞ she paused, amused by his confused expression. ❝ You think I didn't know about this ❞

She pointed towards the titantron where several images of Seth and the current Divas Champion Nikki Bella were displayed in a rather comprising situations. ❝ Tsk tsk — you tend to forget who you claimed to love all this time! It's no secret that I am not a fan of that pathetic plastic Barbie so it didn't come as a surprise to me that you would stoop so low, but I didn't realize you'd align yourself with trash infact I — ❞

She was interrupted by the blaring of "You can look but you can't touch" — Nikki stepping out with her usual entrance.

❝ Who the hell do you think you are by insulting me? The longest reigning Divas Champion here, besides you should have known that Seth would rather be with a woman — not a soft and fragile little girl ❞ said Nikki as she stepped inside the ring.

❝ A woman — you call yourself a woman ❞ said Siren, chuckling. ❝ That's cute — see, I am kinda glad you both are present because you see I had managed to work out an agreement with someone you know very well sweetheart ❞ the words were directed at Seth who's optics were narrowed.

The sudden familiar theme of the Lunatic Fringe had the crowd chanting Dean's name, which grew louder as he had surprised Seth by attacking him from behind after taking down his henchmen. A referee had stepped out which made the match official. A back and forth brawl between the foursome had ended with a double dirty deeds on Nikki and Seth by Dean and Siren — the two emerging victorious.

Renée Paquette, better known as Renée Young to the WWE universe was awaiting her real life boyfriend and close friend to appear for their interview.

❝ I am here with Dean Ambrose and Siren, so Siren tell me how do you feel about tonight's victory? ❞ inquired Renée.

Siren smiled menacingly. ❝ The WWE universe had to endure Nikki Bella and her god awful reign as Divas Champion, even worse now that she had aligned herself with the Authority. It made things quite easier for me, you see I always knew Seth would betray me ❞ glancing at Dean who grinning ❝ A leopard never changes it's prints, he had betrayed his brothers seeking what he believes is success and Nikki had betrayed her family because of jealousy — that to me sounds like a perfect couple and you know what. This victory is the start of many more because Nikki Bella, at Survivor Series you and your man will kiss those championships goodbye because come Sunday, Dean and I will walk out as the new champions of WWE. ❞

After Vanessa had changed, she dragged her suitcase behind her — stopped midway by the sight of Colby and Nicole talking rather closely together … Anger slowly boiled within her. Suddenly, as if he had sensed her presence Colby turned around, his eyes widening … Immediately he mumbled something and approached her.

❝ What was that? ❞ inquired Vanessa with narrowed optics.

❝ Nothing, we were just chatting ❞ said Colby defensively.

❝ Yeah? ❞ said Vanessa, unconvinced by his statement however she remained composed. ❝ You did good out there, pretty convincing ❞ the words were accompanied by a grin.

❝ You did as well, still sucks that we had to part ways ❞ said Colby.

❝ Yeah, you're right. I gotta head back, see you tomorrow ❞ said Vanessa, pressing a quick kiss to his lips before leaving quickly with the same nagging feeling.

Vanessa had walked into the venue which would later be the location for the taping of Monday Night RAW — according to the email she had received, Stephanie had requested to meet her to discuss details regarding their storylines following the betrayal of Seth Rollins which cemented him as a heel and member of The Authority.

While all four parties, meaning Colby, Joe, Jon and herself weren't fans of the storyline due to what it meant to them meeting outside of the ring. They simply had to work through it. Specifically her and Colby … Vanessa and Colby had began dating four months after their debut during Survivor Series '12. And although Vanessa had to endure the constant warnings of those close to her regarding Colby's sketchy past, she chose to stick with her emotions completely blocking away those warnings.

Yet ever since the betrayal — something inside of her had ticked, almost as if it was a sign …

❝ Vanessa, Thank you for coming in ❞ said Stephanie ushering the brunette inside her office. ❝ I've already discussed this with Colby and Nicole, but I couldn't reach you last night ❞

Vanessa, who was both surprised and slightly annoyed upon hearing the Arizona native's name sat down — awaiting to hear what this was all about.

❝ So as you know! ❞ began Stephanie, leaning her elbows on the desk. ❝ We are proceeding with Seth Rollins cemented as the top heel, and of course building up for his match against Dean Ambrose — of course we decided to add a twist ❞

❝ What kind of twist? ❞ inquired Vanessa, though a part of her had somewhat expected what that twist would be.

❝ A romantic betrayal, Seth Rollins reveals his affair with the current Divas Champion Nikki Bella ❞ responds Stephanie, watching the slight disgust evident on Vanessa's features. ❝ Of course that betrayal, is going to guarantee a match and opportunity to fight for the Divas championship ❞

Vanessa, whom remained silent had taken each word into thought — while this would work in her favor, a nagging feeling was disturbing her … Was this "the sign" ? glancing up, she smiled politely. ❝ I love this job, and if fighting to become the champion is through the storyline — so be it, I'm in ❞

Stephanie smiled widely, she had always admired Vanessa's dedication to the business and like her husband considered Vanessa to be a daughter along with her own. ❝ The storyline will take place tonight where Seth will be revealing his affair however the twist would be that Siren had already knew and aligned herself with Dean Ambrose to take on Seth and Nikki in a mixed tag team match as the main event, here is the script ❞ said Stephanie.

Vanessa had taken the papers in hand, and stood up. ❝ Is there anything else I should know of? ❞

❝ No, that would be all ❞ said Stephanie, ❝ You can go ahead and get ready ❞
