do u ever randomly think about how like when carm and sly were together together before sly 4 i feel like carm felt like she could finally breathe because she was with someone she could trust and let herself BE herself around someone and in her moments of trying to deny that he was lying the whole time she just didn't want to lose one of the few healthy relationships she's ever had 

and so when sly 4 hits her anger is even more profound because now it’s back to being alone and closing herself off from everyone because she can’t trust anyone anymore and it hurts because she knew the entire damn  time and could have said something or done something but she didn’t want to 

like if u think about it like in sly 2? 2 cops she worked closely with and thought she could trust stabbed her in the back, 1 tried to brainwash her and use her. sly 4 comes around and when sly ups and leaves she probably would have broken down if she didn’t let her rage take over

“you okay?” He's gonna casually give her a soft hug from behind while he asks this.

“You know I could arrest you right now.” It was a half-hearted threat. She turned her head away from him, pulling her legs up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. She didn’t want anyone near her right now, not while she felt like... ugh. Why did he always have to show up at the worst possible time?

i’m making a headcanon post about carm’s time spent with the contessa okay because no yall can’t silence me 

a lot of the the memory of the time spent with the contessa is fuzzy at best, at least in the early parts of it, though she does have some vague recollection of spice and lots of noise, though she also remembers keeping her mind focused on what she was gonna do to the contessa when she was free 

thinking, ‘I’ll get you, I’ll get you.’ until she was personally dragged to the Contessa’s manor and strapped down to a board with the clockwerk eyes aimed directly at her for three weeks 

fighting to keep consciousness and her mind??? carms will is not one to be trifled with for sure 

when asked about it she refuses to talk about it and will find some half assed answer to keep the other person at bay 

and remember when the contessa said that the changes to carms mind was going to be a painful process? it was. 

excruciating pain running through the walls of her brain is it was being manipulated? Carmelita trying her absolute best to keep herself together? this shit doesn’t get talked about enough so just saying 

my brain can’t focus at all and this is probably a mess but basically carm is fucked up over being with the contessa for so long and thanks for coming to my ted talk

smol talk about it but carm knows more than anyone that she shouldn’t let herself fall in love with a criminal but what I think really made carm fall in love with sly is that more than anyone he treats her like a normal person 

to her colleges she hasn’t made any effort to befriend him as its only work to her 

she’s hardly going out and when she does it isn’t to make friends its to destress 

her entire self worth is completely rooted in her ability to do her job and do it well and being a fox in that industry is difficult as all hell cuz she knows some of her superiors are looking to see her fail

so when sly shows her that little bit of kindness every time he sees her it wormed its way into her heart until she realizes she’s fallen in love with him, to the point where she stupidly lies to herself and to just to be with him
