079: All Received
Hi all, It is with deep sadness that I have to announce that I am migrating this webcomic away from Tumblr. This is due to the now Adult Content rules which are coming into effect soon, and with the direct in which Orbit: encounter is going it will be breaching Tumblr’s new rules. You can find it here from now on : www.orbitcomic.com
Also I have set up an Orbit: encounter discord that you can find here: https://discord.gg/gkXZUH3
078: All Received
I’ve started painting chapter/interlude covers for Orbit: encounter. I’m going to be doing chapter covers for all the previously posted chapters - but I’ll save putting them into consecutive order and just include a link to them in a future post.
I hope you all had a great Thanks Giving yesterday.
Also, Tumblr has been deactivating pages willy-nilly over the last few days so I’ll add some links to where else you can keep updated with Orbit: encounter, just in case.

I may end up removing this from Tumblr anyway as they’ve fallen into disrepute since there have been child porn found on Tumblr accounts.
077: Auf Wiedersehen
Thank you for your patience yet again moving to and settling in to a new place is a real time killer. Also I needed to redecorate the spare room to make my first official studio!!
And, I had a spur of inspiration late one night the other week, and have decided to place a short interlude in from now. So now for some backstory ^_^

076: Jungle Gym
This page was trickier than it looks, but still very pleasant to paint. I’m sorry for my delays - what with the move and then immediately after that, having a our new boiler and radiators fitted. Manic, manic. But, I’ve now started redecorating the room which is to be my studio, and hopefully in a few weeks I’ll have set up my desk and everything! I’m gonna look like such a professional XD If you’re enjoying Orbit: encounter, please consider supporting my Patreon, the more support I get the more often I’ll be able to produce content. And every supporter is highly valued <3
075: Plastikspengstoff!?
That’s right everyone, plastic explosives! Whilst I did some somewhat brief research on explosives (I didn’t want to go too in-depth with that research with the UK still being on a high terror alert) I got somewhat nostalgic for the Metal Gear Solid series. For anyone who is unaware I did a whole series of parody art prints:
And to celebrate here is a like to my Etsy store where you can buy them, and other art I’ve done, along with a link to my Patreon exclusive discount code. Sorry for the delay in publishing this - I was mid house move for the last week or so. Everything was just a little manic. But for now I’m camping out in my cozy new bedroom, not unpacking more than I need to as the heating man (Clive) is coming to start ripping out and replacing the current heating system here, whoohoo. If you’re enjoying Orbit: encounter, please consider supporting my Patreon, the more support I get the more often I’ll be able to produce content. And every supporter is highly valued
074: Just A Box
Oh dang, what's in the box??
I think I'm going to miss coloring the cargo netting, it has such striking look to it when Oscar's light catches it. Oh and the bottles!
Thank you for your patience with me. You're all so kind :3

073: Sinister Suggestion There Winston
Oh no Oscar, things are looking very ominous for you right now.
Thank you for your patience yet again (I know, I'm saying this a lot at the moment...), but I only have 6 weeks to get my move sorted (solicitors are slow AF) or I'm effectively homeless and I need to get packing!

072: A Respectable Resting Place
Oscar really does have a heart of gold <3
071: And Who R U?
More time capsules of the flesh... Gnarly... I found keeping the consistency of the look of the dead guy's face very tricky, but I think this suffices. As you might notice, I had this page mirror the panel layout of the previous page. I really love working on orbit, I really find its a great therapy for me. Thank you all for being so patient with me over the past 3 weeks or so, only 2 more weeks and I'll be returning to my part-time hours at the day job instead of the horrid and draining full-time that I'm currently having to do.
070: Silent Treatment
Thank you all for your patience with me, I’ve been struggling a lot with some emotional and family matters along side my wife and I preparing to move home and it’s all a little stressful/time consuming.
But, moving on from that, I'd like to tell you all that I REALLY enjoy drawing cadavers, but the research behind drawing a man who has been dead in a dry environment for 5 years was a challenge. I had to learn about what would happen to a a human body if left to rot or not (as I will explain below), and whether or not it would actually decompose. And here is what I discovered.
069: Second Wind
HAPPY WORLD OTTER DAY!
Come-on Oscar, you can get out of this mess! Confuzzled 2018 - The Report I had an amazing time at Cfz this year. I met loads of new fans and enthusiastically chatted nonsense with quite a few familiar faces. I also got more commission interest that ever, which is extremely flattering. I have come away feeling both exhausted from my amazing time there, and humbled by all the lovely people who came by my stall in the dealers den. To help with the real-life financial burdens that we all can sympathize with having, please consider supporting this comic my donating to my PayPal or maybe even becoming a supporter of my Patreon where you'll get loads for cool stuff, and every commission rewards!.
068: Doubts
I'm sure I've mentioned before but I'll say it again just in case: these few most recent pages weren't plotted in my thumbnails for the chapter, this is mainly because I underestimated the amount of pacing that was needed at this point in the chapter. This whole chapter is a critical point in Oscar's character portrayal and evolution (trying no to give you spoilers).
Also, I'm sorry to have kept you all waiting, I've been rushing to get a load of prints and flyers designed and printed for my convention in two weeks.
If you want to know some behind the scenes info about this page head over to the patreon post of this page (now open to all).
068: Little Demons
It's ok to have self-doubt Oscar, you're in an exceptional circumstance.
It really bugs me in the horror/survival/adventure genre's that the main character(s) mostly seem to have the emotional fortitude (or in my opinion the emotional detachment) to go through the escapade without really having any moments to reflect on how very disastrous and daunting the situation they're in actually is. They don't stop to think "can they actually face this?" "will they ever make it?" They never see a brand of tea and think "this was neighbour John's favorite brand, I wonder if I’ll ever see him again?", and I feel this is an emotional depth that everyone has and should be expressed in all types story telling.
Oscar starts this story light-hearted and innocent, but like with all terrifying and overwhelming experiences, he wont get to stay that way. This is the first real insight into Oscar's true emotions, and if I were in Oscar's position I don’t think I would be terribly functional, I am terrible for emotionally bullying myself out of doing things, let alone anyone else's outside influence. So, I think he's doing quite well all things considered.
Personal Rant:
Hey everyone,
Four months in and this year still can't treat me right! I'm very sorry guys, my personal life seems to be in a constant state of upheaval - every month there seems to be new and highly distressing event(s). The latest upheaval is highly personal, so I shan't go into detail. But, it has knocked me to the ground in regards my emotional and mental health.
Currently I'm living in a constant state of extreme anxiety and I can't stop these paranoid feelings - which means I'm hyper vigilant whenever I'm out of my home, this week it has inhibited by ability to even go to the connivance store for simple groceries. On Monday I completely broke down, I couldn't think straight, everything was a huge worry; from the little things like what my wife and I should cook for dinner, to the big important things (the trigger).
Sorry to spill all of this out to you.
But next week I will be opening some commission slots so that I can set that money to one side just in case I have a particularly bad day and can’t manage to leave the house to go to the day job. This way I wont have to make those lost hours up a the office just so I can make rent.
The commission slots will be very limited, and will open first to my patrons and then if there are any slots if you are interested in commissioning me please keep an eye on my Patreon for the slots to become public (link below).

Hey there Oscar. Hope you find a first aid kit. As one sapient mammal spacer to another. Would you rather have a bolt or rivet gun than a wrench to fight those abominations? Personally I prefer my laser cutter and welding gun.
066: Water Beads
So, a lot of you have been concerned about a contagion in Oscar's tail, and I just want to show you some research I've done on liquid in zero-gravity, and the physics of zero-gravity, if you follow this link it will take you to what I wrote about it on Patreon (available to read for free <3).

PS There are a couple of anon asks that I’m just getting around to answering, I havent forgotten about you :3
065: First Aid Here!
(The page title is a frequently used phrase said by characters in the game series Left 4 Dead, I really enjoyed Left 4 Dead, I enjoyed it a lot.) I really like how the middle panel turned out, Might update the banner with it, but i'm not sure if it is banner material. Things are looking up for Oscar, a first aid kit, some apparent refuge from the creepy-naked-sharp-teethed critters; all he needs now is to be caught with his guard down... Please consider supporting this comic my donating to my PayPal or maybe even becoming a supporter of my Patreon.
