steve harrington is actually the biggest brat alive and only ever hid that side of himself once he hit highschool until one eddie munson crashes head first into steves life, aggravating and poking fun at steve to no end. and steve just wants to fucking stomp his feet on the ground and whine and tell eddie to shut the fuck up because steve is not a bad guy.
but he cant do that because he’s almost 20 and there are much less whiney tweens surrounding them, tweens that would definitely loose all (if they had any) respect for him.
but then eddie teases him and messes with his hair is always smirking at him with this dark look in his eyes, like he wants to eat steve whole.
and that also makes steve wanna bitch and whine and stomp his foot on the ground because,
“why,” steve drags the word out, “do you keep looking at me like that, munson.” his arms are tightly crossed over his chest as he glares at eddie.
eddie sits back and has the fucking audacity to laugh. “because you’re cute when you get all pouty.”
and steve stutters, just a bit, then cools his expression. “fuck off, i’m not cute.” he definitely isn’t whining. “or pouty.”
“you sure, sweetheart?” and eddie is up, in front of steve in an instant, crowding his space. “this lil scrunch between your eyebrows and this cute frown say otherwise.”
eddie’s fingers trace across steve’s face; over his forehead, down his nose, over both of his lips.
steve’s heart is fucking racing. so he slaps eddie’s hand away, “knock it off.” he is definitely whining now. he is trying so hard not to stop his foot and tell eddie to back up.
like eddie can read is stupid mind, he backs up and lets his hand drop to his side. he’s smiling, like he figured something out - solved some mystery puzzle that makes up steves attitude problem, maybe.
“okay.” he says simply. “knocking it off.” and he’s off, sitting back down comfortably, like he didn’t just make steve’s brain short-circuit for 30 second’s.
steve did, in fact, stomp his foot twice before heading to the bathroom to scream into a hand towel and figure out a way to get back a munson.
