Messy Sugar Cloud Analysis
"I WOULDNT TRADE MY LIFE FOR A THING"
"Like the seasons come and go, the slush and rain and snow"
It's all said with such a fondness I love Constance
There's so much to be said about my girlie, just. Here's me listening to Sugar Cloud on repeat for hours.
Her take on the world is, forgive me, constant. While she may have had a period of doubt about whether it was okay to be "bland", she always had feelings about her world. She hated her parents being content with their lives because she's a restless teen, wondering if there's more.
That's normal, completely. But the truth is that's all there is! What you have in front of you is what you have, and it's okay to not *want* more.
The slush and rain and snow, often used to depict sadness and greyness but. Its also used for beauty. Constance sees the world for all its wonder and whimsy, not all the flaws. She sees them, but she's an inherently positive person.
The off key recorder reminds me of trying new things. Its not gonna be perfect, maybe not even good, but if you're trying then it's worth appreciating.
Or childish naïveté, or joy. The want to mesh with your surroundings because everything is so. Colourful. And you want to be colourful. Isn't it wonderful?
"All that sugar coated candy"
I think she knows her views are generally sugar coated, but regardless she loves them.
Anyways I love Constance. Goodnight!!
