Look what I found: Narnia’s photo, uploaded in November 2014 to her trainer’s (or trainer relative’s) page. Source: (x)
That’s an unusual spot for a rake.
What’s wrong with using a dolphin as a Navy weapon system?
“Well it’s abusive. Well– ‘we’re only talking about a few dolphins here. There’s millions of them out there.’ That’s the argument. But what’s wrong with abusing a few women? Hey, there’s millions of them out there! It’s the same kind of thinking, same kind of logic. Besides the ethical considerations, it’s a faulty weapons system. It doesn’t even work, okay? It doesn’t work. The public is being ripped off. It didn’t work in Vietnam. It didn’t work in the Persian Gulf and it didn’t work anywhere they tried it. They’re not dependable the dolphins. Once a dolphin has been fed their full allotment of fish you no longer have control over the dolphin. They know that.”- Ric O’Barry (x)

She seems well cared for, and happy enough (she wouldn’t have made it this long if she wasn’t).
NO ONE likes her accomodations, but let’s face it, she can’t leave. The polluted waters of her birthplace (where, you know, her relatives are the most toxic animals in the ocean) are out of the question, and it’s the question if even a move to a different facility would be in her best interest.
She should never have been there in the first place, but after so long, it is her home (to her, no matter where you want to see her).
If an animal spends enough time in a cage, they will not want to leave it, even if it was cruel putting them there in the first place. It’s how animal behavior works.
Where on this planet Earth do you get your information? Stop saying whales are “happy” in captivity and stop exaggerating the conditions of the ocean just to put your weird freaking obsession with captivity in a positive light. I’m sorry but there are plenty of videos of animals that have spent their entire lives in cages (PUPPY MILLS??? CIRCUS ANIMALS???) and have since been released and are much healthier and better suited to live outside of a cage. Your logic (or lack thereof?) is so scary, I cannot believe people with this mindset exist! “An animal that has spent it’s entire life in horrifying conditions would rather be in those horrifying conditions than be given a better life, so we might as well just leave them in the horrible conditions!” That is absolutely disgusting I’m disgusted with your ideas I hope you don’t have any pets, honestly.
Seriously where did common sense go I miss it , The pro cap side of this is just stupid . I mean really so many double negatives .

Today in Rosario Strait, two adult male transient killer whales meandered around and had some snacks. This is T097, born in 1980, spyhopping. He was travelling with T093, born around 1963.

First of all: What?
Second of all: No.
Worn teeth most commonly arise in the wild with ecotypes that eat sharks and rays, like the offshore community and the New Zealand orca. Teeth in fish-eating species, like the Southern Residents, typically do not wear down to the gumline as seen in SeaWorld’s whales. J32′s lower jaw was full of non-worn teeth when her corpse washed ashore. (Image is a bit graphic. She is dead, after all.) She was an estimated 18 years old at the time of her death. Meanwhile, when Taima died at 20 years old, her entire lower jaw was virtually void of teeth. Herring and other fish form a large part of the Icelandic community’s diet, so their tooth wear should be closer to those of the Southern Residents’ and not to that of shark-eating species. In addition, SeaWorld orca do not even catch their food; it’s dropped into their mouths without any work on their own part.

SeaWorld is a joke, seriously how could anybody take them at their word when all they do is spew lies. It's really disgusting most of the population either take their word for it or don't know any better . Which speaks volumes to the publics knowledge of cetaceans and spite of sea world and other marine parks. Ignorance is bliss however if you take a company's word as the truth you may often forget they are the ones who make money off of these animals.🐋🐬🐋🐬
Whale watchers were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime sight on Monday: a grey whale mother with not one, but two young calves.
