* ・゚✧ — margaery.
not being able to keep back a smile, margaery sat down next to her brother in the slytherin common room. which, surprisingly enough, was empty for the time being. the blonde could swear she was still on a high after last night’s events, though she didn’t want to seem too excited about it, only reinforcing her brother’s ideas that she was too young for things like this. “i started the day counting the people who were crying in the hallways, but i had to give up after ten minutes.” she said, pulling her feet up and getting into a more comfortable position in the couch. “it’s like everyone knew these people personally, which is absolute nonsense.”
never before had the blonde looked at his sister with such a swelling sense of pride before. he too was on a high for the night before, something only elevated with the chaos within the castle halls that had unfolded as the hours since their surprise had been unveiled. but it had been especially important for his sister, her first kill. one would be forever changed after this and he couldn’t have been prouder of her, the emotion practically radiating off him. it wouldn’t be long before they had the world at their feet, something that margaery had truly proved the night before --- not that archibald had ever had any doubts of it.
“ pathetic isn’t it ? ” the man laughed, letting out a snort, “ you’d think that the world was ending. ” he supposed perhaps for them it was, though their compassion would always be their demise, too blinded by emotion to be driven by power or focus. “ not that I’m complaining of course, for once this place is somewhat tolerable, ” he continued, gesturing to the nearly empty room around them.
