okay last one for now i promise i’m waiting for the personals to find me i keep using the spoilers tag RIP, but i want to believe that after haja got her home safely, he stayed on alderaan at least for a little while i refuse to make this sad / ended up joining up with the rebellion later on. he and le*a cross paths again and she enlists him to be her personal go - between.

literally after i got into bed last night the quote i use for my aldera*n tag popped into my head ( ‘i am a body of people who are asking not to be forgotten’ ) and had a little ‘!!!!’ moment because it’s not just her parents / the people of aldera*n she carries around with her after her home planet is destroyed. it’s tala, and obi - w*n; roken and the people she helped escape from jabiim. it’s the crew of rogue one. it’s the parents obi - wan tells her helped make her who she is simply by being born. she carries all of them with her all the time. she feels the weight of that loss and trauma hoping to give them all peace / not have their sacrifices be in vain.

before i roll off into bed it’s canon on here that LOLA is alive and well in the OT. leia had been allowed ( after much back and forth ) to keep her after her day of demand / having to give up her keepsake box as the heir of alderaan. LOLA was packed away in leia’s bag when she went off at her father’s request to go find obi - wan ------ hoping that despite the direness of the situation, a reunion of the three of them might bring a little joy.
