10:33AM — My first blog post as a studyblr! This morning I cleaned up my workspace and organised a few of my class handouts, and now I’m revising and going through some Korean vocab and dialogues for my test in a few weeks’ time ♪(v^_^)v

AT LONG LAST! THE END IS UPON US (finals week) MAY THE DILIGENT AND DISCIPLINED FEAST ON THE FRUITS OF THEIR TOIL!
I get asked quite a lot about shops for stationery, so I’m going to make a quick list. If people have recommend them for specific countries, I’ll include the country alongside the shop, but not every shop will have a country. I’ve included links if I could find one.

Reading fiction with attention
Some tips --
1. Keep four different-colored highlighters handy while reading (I use pink, yellow, green, and blue, but you can substitute these for any colors you’d like):
blue- new characters (just their names will do)
green- important quotations
yellow- important facts, details, or plot points
pink- character traits and descriptions
2. Use Post-It flags to mark the introductions of new characters as well as the novel’s most important quotations, the colors of which should correspond to those colors of your highlighters (I would use blue flags for characters and green flags for quotations, for example)
3. Keep a list of all noteworthy characters inside the front cover (or really any blank page at the beginning of the book) with a short description or identifying characteristic next to their name
4. Keep a running list of the novel’s major themes with page numbers of supporting quotations either in a separate notebook or on a blank page inside the novel (this is extremely helpful for essay prompts and test questions)
5. In a separate notebook, write a quick summary of each chapter after you have finished reading it. This not only helps remind you what you’ve just read but is very helpful when studying for tests and quizzes
6. Lastly, have a pen in hand and jot down whatever thoughts or analyses that might come to you while reading
good luck!!!
