Did a big update on Jez' FFVII verse and it's now available on google docs.

Redid the ABOUT page.  Links to verses are on that page to make them easier to find.  They’re temporarily on google docs until I can get around to making the pages for each verse.

A lot of older verses are missing.  Not sure if tumblr nommed them away or what, but I’m redoing them.

Still being lazy about the CARRD. I'll get to it eventually.

Okay ya'll I'm obsessed with Dark Urge. And I have another character that I've completely fallen for, lined up to be RPed at some point. His name is La'Fyr.

Picked a screenshot that wouldn't give away any spoilers.

But this is him in more 'casual' clothing. His original campaign, he was a Noble so I stuck mainly with that. And the fact he's a Sorcerer. Half Elf/Drow.

Might stick to RPing him on discord for now but wanted to share. I adore this character. He's one of my two favorites. The other of course being Jezebel :D Hehe.

WHELP.

Forced to take a (probably much needed) break from Baldur's Gate 3. Security program decided to randomly update and now whenever I try to save, I get a 'Save failed. Access denied.' error.

I'm reinstalling the game for a second time and uninstalled the program. All of it. Tried deleting the folder that all the saves and stuff were in to force the game to remake it. Hoping that'll resolve it.

But if anyone has any ideas, I'm open to ideas.

That said - Might be making another character. Dark Urge has me hooked. I don't think I can play a normal campaign again lol.

I'm on discord if anyone wants to chat. Just hiding out so feel free to poke me there.

Just busy with life. And Baldur's Gate 3. Sorry for the extended radio silence. I beat it, and now have a couple more campaigns going on lol. Guess I'm a touch obsessed.

Might be pretty quiet the next couple of days. My friend bought me Baldur's Gate 3 and I spent far, far too long completely engrossed in it last night.

...and predict the same for today. >.>

So! That's where I'll be lol. It's a 3-day weekend anyway for those of us in the US so may as well take advantage of it hehe.

The chicken meets this unexpected situation with a loud, startled squawk and a hop that sends a couple of loose feathers drifting to the ground before it turns tail and runs, not even attempting to make any sense of what had just taken place right in front of it. Indeed, if the bird had any wings to mention, they'd most likely be flapping wildly as it went.

On the other hand, the wolf freezes, its body tensing all the more as it hunkers down lower amidst the tall grass. There's an initial, fleeting moment where the wild-eyed animal seems to fight some inherent instinct to chase after the smaller of the prey, as observed in the minutest twitch of its muscles. Yet, it stands firm, appraising the stranger in a manner akin to her own.

Of course, it doesn't take long before a low rumble of a growl starts to build in the back of its throat, the creature beginning to take its first step toward her before— it stops, falling silent as its attention drops to something just at the woman's feet. Even now, it doesn't fully retreat, although it does scurry back a little, a quiet sound like a confused whimper escaping from the medium-sized beast.

At her feet, an ever-growing plume of pitch-black smoke spews from the recently uncorked bottle, shadowy tendrils licking at her boots. Only, upon closer inspection, just as quickly as the intangible, inky substance appears, so too does it dissipate, somehow transferring itself straight from the bottle to her very shadow as if compelled by some phantom pull.

Her image stills upon the more aggressive note of the wolf. More-so when it seems to scurry back and whimper. An eyebrow lifted slightly at this strange behavior. Had it sensed something more primal about the woman? On the urge of growling back, though it doesn't quite come to fruition when the beastly thing widened the gap between them.

Something else was amiss. The cane in grip pushed towards the shallow shadow cast by faint nearby light. Moonlight, perhaps? A slow tilt of her head at this peculiar phenomenon stirring both a sense of curiosity, and caution for what might have just transpired. She seems entirely unconcerned outwardly, though by the noise her rook was making up in the tree, she suspected it may prove more troublesome.

There was little to do at the moment. Just wait and see if this wolf would think it wise to attack her, or would it recognize the risk of doing so and run off? Jezebel was, in all rights, an apex predator. She exuded a certain presence about her and while not something particularly noteworthy in her own world, here it might come across more dangerous to those who encounter her.

Particularly those of the wilds. Like this wolf that seemed conflicted on whether or not to make a move against her. And what of the anomaly of her being in this weird world? Would the gruesome reality she had come from, somehow impact this one?

It was such a peaceful night in the tiny flat. Nothing but the quiet of a late evening with only a fragment of noise from the street below. The familiar silhouette of the Hunter was rested within the confines of the window seal. One leg propped up with her toes pressed just into the bottom corner, and the other hung outside the window. A kiseru burning away the warm aroma of floral herbs; lavender predominantly with a touch of something else. Nothing mind altering, of course.

She drew in the smoke, and slowly exhaling it out towards the world beyond the window in a slow, eased motion. Her head tilted back, giving the stars permission to reflect against the polished mirror of her sunglasses. Not a word uttered. Merely basking in the cool night air with the tiniest hint of rain dancing playfully upon the wind.

"Damn, Jez, anything else of mine you want to get rid of? Want me to remove my eyeballs as well?? I mean, there are SOME bits of my person I have to keep." He sighed. "I have a gigantic sword on my back too, sort of hard to be subtle. DON'T even THINK about asking me to get rid of it. NOT happening!" He could make exceptions for certain things, THAT wasn't one of them.

"The uniform isn't only meant for a regimented style, there is a more protective function of it. Hence why I've worn it. Because I'm hunted and what I'm hunted by can hurt if it makes its mark. But I get your point." Aside from the unusual glow of his eyes, he could easily be identified as Soldier by the uniform he wore. And he had been, he had to admit. Presenting himself in such a way was an open invitation for trouble.

Even if it wasn't in the open world they were often traveling through, it would certainly be in the city they would be heading.

"You WANT to get us arrested? Geeez." Zack removed all those identifiable pieces of what remained of his uniform that might catch the eye of any number of the troopers down below, "Now it's just a pair of trousers. I match all the other blockheads down there with something to prove." There was more than one he saw trying to flex their stuff, as though that were enough to get them in on whatever was going on.

"I probably have some materia I can sell. Not sure what that'll get me." He would make do with whatever that something was. He wasn't going to be stealing.

What? Why did he think she was -- Oh it didn't matter. This was necessary if either of them wanted to keep surviving. "I wasn't going to. You can wrap your sword in a way that it looks like a bag, or another style of weapon." Jez clarified plainly. "In fact I might be able to make something for you with my origami so it doesn't become a hindrance should you need to use it." Which brought her to another consideration. Instead of getting plain ol' sunglasses to hide his eyes, could she make something?

A more thoughtful look leveled across his form as he removed the remainder of his SOLDIER attire. Probably letting her gaze linger a bit too long on his physique. It was hard to deny that she found it appealing. Maybe she could even get use to seeing it more often.

Ah but -- that wasn't really relevant. Arms folded loose across her chest again with her head slightly tipped to the side. "We work with what we have. Perhaps we can find a tailor that can modify your attire enough, or reinforce new attire with it. You would retain its protective properties then. Maybe even improve on them."

Would it be challenging to find someone who could work with heavier material? Maybe not. But ensuring they didn't go brag to ShinRa troopers about it, or anyone for that matter, might require more persuasive methods. Along with money of course given Zack's aversion to theft. Sometimes it was a real pain in the backside dealing with a goodie two shoes.

Wordlessly, Jezebel would move around to collect the discarded items, rubbing her fingers against the fabric to assess its condition. She might actually know of someone, but it would require a bit of travel to reach him. And potentially stealth. "I'll go. You stay hidden for now. We'll work out the rest when I return." She really wasn't going to give him any choice if she could help it. A quick trip down into the town to procure something fresh for the rogue SOLDIER, and they'd be ready to move around more freely. Hopefully.

Julai. The highlight of humanity thriving amongst a grown cityscape. Beautiful, exceeding any expectation of those who had come before. Well beyond dreams created reality, finding the birth of a once broken ship, blossomed into the wake of advancement and survival.

While below was filled with the bustle of humanity oblivious to the horrors of their circumstance, higher up atop the tallest roofs a quiet melody reverberated towards the stars. It was filled with such intense emotion as if the world around the musician were being relayed through this hypnotic song. Flowing with a resonance found through profound harmony understood by someone who was not quite a part of this world. Without purpose, or direction, it blossomed into the air like a whisper. Captivated the wind and journeyed beyond the city to stretch towards the heavens. Refusing to relinquish its hold on the voice it had obtained as if it were speaking tales long passed; echoing the events that may have lead up to this point and relaying it by way of a language that could only be understood through whatever emotion it may provoke of its listeners.

It was a violin. Aged, but still stunning in its quality. And the source? Stood at the highest peek beneath the skyward tower jutting up well beyond the architecture one might find means to reach. Allowing its statement to elevate unhindered. Beckoning. Longing. Lingering for as long as the bow swept its way across strings, sharing its epiphany to all who may lend their ear.

One figure shroud in the shadow of a building from the light pollution below, and an ethereal night sky kissed by clusters of glowing insects. She played on; a silhouette in a long coat and hat donned with horns twisted back away from the narrowed front. Sunglasses hid away feral eyes unable to perceive in the way they once did though her understanding of things beyond humanity churned within the very depths of her soul. Inviting those who may hear it, to become immersed if only to understand the world around her a little better.

Would anyone listen, though? It didn't much matter. Perhaps one familiar with the traveling Hunter, would catch the chorus of this enchanting tune, and bid curiosity a moment to investigate.

It was a simple enough answer. She didn't have to. Whatever his role, or his destination, the assassin did not see his end in the work she was assigned. Her gaze steadied cold upon him, defiant and strong, relinquishing no part of her independence whilst away from the chilling grip of the Empire and their expectations.

"Should I have?" A question countered with a question the woman queried. Beaded locks of hair dancing within the flow of wind passing across her form with feathers flickering gently in the wake of an approaching storm. She could hear it; smell it. Like the presence of a loved one in close embrace. "You weren't my target." An answer permitted if only to stave off more prodding and poking to try to understand the truth - should he feel inclined to press it further.

However he would find she was not in the mood for giving freebies. Information came at a cost, and her life presently was bought out by the whim of the Empire. "Nor are you now. Less you desire to be." She warned plainly. No effort to hide the fact she was willing to slaughter him if he crossed a line with her. She was not strong physically, nor particularly noteworthy by those unaware of her training. But Ignis might know; recognize the danger that she posed.
