That’s a rather vague question, but... what is the point of drawing your own take on Chapters 3 and 4 now that the original chapters have been released? (Sorry if that sounded rude?)
the short answer is they're my OCs and i like them! i think theyre cool!
i started drawing these ideas in early 2024, rather late in the fantake game because i was hesitant to put such effort into speculation when the "actual" game would eventually release and render it moot... but seeing others come up with their own interpretations and ideas of the characters and storyline was inspiring & i wanted to play along too
after a point it became less "trying to predict what will happen/what i wanted to see in the game" and more "exploring character dynamics that were personally interesting & drawing from my own experiences with family and school". of course Deltarune Fantake was still the backbone of it all , plenty of OCs start out as fanart of existing things so thats nothing new.
the fact that the actual chapters have released now doesnt deter me in the slightest because i'm not trying to "follow along" with that story anymore. its okay if assumptions ended up wrong!
i'm still drawing these characters now because i still care about them and their stories regardless of what happened in the actual game. some ideas happened to line up and others didn't, and there's a few things i've picked from the actual game because i thought it would make for cool plot points (like the titan fight in 4). these chapters exist in a weird half-original and half-canon derivative state so my goal is to take out as much deltarune as i can so they can stand on their own without compromising setting or meaning... fantasy dream setting where kids become better people is not unique to deltarune so i think i can make it work... and toby is pretty open about all the things he steals from soo lol
i'm trying to be careful of how i tag things so i'm not taking up space with OC stuff (especially post chapter release) and i make it pretty clear this is my main content. its very appreciated if people still like the things i make, though i'm mainly doing it for myself. its like having 2 cakes. or maybe a homemade cake and a pack of donuts from the store
