What if I write a fic where Langdon starts using sex as pain relief after he gets served divorce papers and naturally he ends up on Robby’s front step with sad puppy eyes and damnit Robby can’t say no when he looks at him like that and it’s been a while since he got laid and fuck it they both need the relief.

And then Robby let’s Langdon stay with him while he apartment hunts cause “the bed is big enough for two…”

But Langdon has a hopeless crush on him. And when he has his kids over he sees Robby being so sweet with them his chest is just all warm and fuzzy but Robby ducks away when he tries to kiss him and ouch.

So then he starts flirting with someone else cause they’re clearly not serious is Robby is gonna be like that but then Robby is #pissed and Langdon doesn’t know what he wants from him.

And then they get stuck in an elevator together and have to work their shit out and it ends with a happy ending and them getting their shit together

Robby who sleeps with Langdon while he’s a med student then oops he becomes a resident so obviously they can’t do that anymore. Plus he gets married. Did he have a gf when they got together? Robby never asked. But he’s married now so. Oh but he has such potential as an er doc and he gravitates toward him anyway. Totally not favouritism at all

Enter Dennis Whitaker who Robby has the same phenomenon with. And the sense of being replaced makes Langdon get sloppy with his drug use and that’s how trinity actually figures it out

Langdon using orgasms during recovery whenever he has urges to use. He texts Robby or sometimes just shows up at his door and Robby can never turn him down. He sighs and lets him in, muttering under his breath in a way that’s just condescending enough to turn Frank on as he follows him through the house.

They don’t talk about it but they both need this. It takes both their minds off of the impending sense of doom their lives create. Is it healthy? Probably not. Frank probably shouldn’t be replacing drugs with sex and Robby definitely shouldn’t be giving it to him. But he wants, no, needs to feel like he’s helping. Like he can somehow fix this.

Sometimes Frank gets demanding about it. Pulling at Robby’s belt before the door even shuts, spouting off a few things he knows will get Robby going enough to let him feel it for a while once he leaves. After all Robby is only a man. He’ll make sure Langdon is settled on pillows but he’ll be relentless after that. He’s not stopping until he’s crying.

But they don’t kiss. Thats the one line they hadn’t crossed ever since Frank showed up on Robby’s doorstep with divorce papers in hand. They didn’t talk about how this all started or where it was going.

The one time Langdon tried to kiss Robby he got so close only for Robby to turn his head at the last second, getting up with an excuse of needing to clean the kitchen. That was all the answer Frank needed.

So he decided to branch out. Try some other people for a change. And that was how he ended up getting dragged off a man in a bar by a pissed off Robby.

Langdon was expecting a fight. Robby held him by the wrist the entire way down the street to Robby’s house. By the time they got there Frank knew what he wanted to say. “Robby what the fuck-“

He didn’t get any further than that. The front door hadn’t even shut yet when his back hit the wall and there were lips on his own, completely killing the fight he had in him because holy shit it felt good. Better than he imagined actually.

His fingers found their way to Robby’s hair and he tugged him closer, kissing back desperately. By the time they parted he was panting.

But Robby wasn’t done with him yet

Robby who uses Jack’s vulnerability after his wife dies to not be alone after all his failed relationships. He knew Jack was looking for an anchor and selfishly made sure he was the only option

Jack who lowkey sabotages any attempted relationship Robby tries to have. He gets pissy if someone even looks at Robby too long. (This only fuels Robby’s abandonment issues and makes him more attached to Jack, the only person he has left)

Jack who sees how Robby is with Dennis and he’s seething. He takes Mohan under his wing in retaliation and Robby is pissed.

They bring out the worst obsessive traits in each other but they need each other like they need air

The first time they sleep together is rough and angry. Jack sees marks Dennis left and he’s practically seeing red

They don’t talk about what happened. But Robby goes to work with hickeys on his neck the next day and starts giving Dennis a cold shoulder

Jack cursed. Son of a bitch. Dennis had them exactly where he wanted him. “This is exactly what you want, isn’t it? Have both of us fuck you open on this desk.”

Dennis shuddered and Jack gripped his thighs.

“Fucking hell…” Jack exhale, pressing his forehead to Dennis’s shoulder. He was so hard it was insane. “Fine. Ok. You get to just watch.” He shot a look at Robby.

Robby frowned and opened his mouth to protest. Jack raised an eyebrow and he closed his mouth again. An unspoken tension between them snapping.

Roles:

Jack Abbot:

Was a military officer when the apocalypse started, eventually his crew began getting picked off or separated until it was only him left.

Baran Al-Hashimi:

Military doctor who was a part of a supervising team overseeing the operation that led to the apocalypse. She barely escaped the breach that left her team dead.

Dennis Whitaker:

Med student when the apocalypse started. He ended up hiding out at a farm he did work on with his best friend until they eventually ran out of supplies and needed to move back toward the city.

Trinity Santos:

Dennis’s best friend. Medical intern when everything started. She’s the one who convinced Dennis to leave the safety of the farm to try and find more things so they could keep surviving.

Michael Robinavitch:

Was a doctor on the front lines when the breach occurred back when they were trying to administer antidotes. Got separated from his small group of survivors and is trying to find them again.

Emery Walsh:

Emergency surgeon working with Robby. Primary medic for the group and anyone they come across who needs help.

Samira Mohan:

Also working with Robby when the apocalypse started. She’s in charge of keeping track of their supplies, what they have, how much, what they need the next time they go out. She leads their raids.

Frank Langdon:

Was initially a part of Robby’s group but after an incident they had a major falling out and it resulted with Langdon being kicked out of their camp.
