I don't know if your tumblr is just focused on posting art, but if it's not a bother, I'd like to know a little about your love for visenya. 🫶🏽☺️

I do post only my drawings on here (my main is @orlaite) but it is no bother at all!😌 Surely I'm gonna sound shallow when I say this but I love Visenya because she is just so COOL. She's a ruthless and fearsome conqueror + dragonrider + warrior + alleged sorceress who may have blood-magicked her son on several occasions, and who is 100% dedicated to maintaining her family's power even when it leads to the death and ruin of said family because 'might makes right'. I think she's the perfect mother for Maegor, narratively and literally, and he is her perfect son in the same way. She set the bar every rebellious Targaryen Second Son tries to reach but she's too iconic and they could never be her. She has one of the most beautiful Valyrian names George ever invented yet she's the ONLY Visenya, not counting Rhaenyra's stillborn daughter (Rhaenyra being another bad bitch and the only holder of her name). Also her status as a Queen and a conqueror who does battle both on and off dragonback and who has an iconic sword means I can draw her in a variety of costumes that I find cool; there are plenty of characters I love alot more than Visenya but they simply aren't as fun to draw!

Heard is an insanely beautiful woman which I know Rhaenys was also described as, but my vision of Rhaenys is less "modernly" beautiful and more soft, round-faced and classical.
