jiho/jungkook & hyojung/hoseok, 726w. for @taegiguk & @vminism, who requested jiho and jungkook watching a scary movie. hope this will suffice!!

She turns around, sweat turning cold on her forehead. Nothing. She looks frantically around, checking every last turn for it. Her breaths come hitched, her heart beats as though she’s going to die soon.

“I know you’re here,” she whispers. “I know you’re here.”

Then the light farthest to her goes out. Clack. And with it goes the rest, a haunting melody that sends chills to her spine. Clack clack clack clack. Every light except the one above her goes out. It’s not dark, but it’s not light either. Just how it likes it. Just how it killed her friend.

And in this hallway, there is no place she can run to. There’s nothing but her, and her heartbeat, and that thing. The walls are free of everything, and there is nothing she could possibly use as weapon. There is no one who could hear her. She thinks of her friend, and she thinks of her boyfriend, both gone. Both devoured by it. Panic grips her all at once, shaking every part of her body violently. She can’t form a single thought, eyes straining to notice any kind of shadow approaching her. Still nothing.

Then the light above her cracks. Goes out for a short second, then goes on again. Panicked, she looks up to the light, watching it. It cracks again, and then again, and then it goes out. She’s shrouded in complete darkness, and that’s when she hears it - something shuffling. Making its way to her. She grabs her arms, still shaking. She can’t make out where the shuffles come from. All she knows is that it’s coming closer to her, closer and closer, until she hears it attack her and she screams-

Complete darkness.

Hoseok lets out an inhuman noise.

The video doesn’t continue, Hyojung has pressed the stop button out of panic. “I hate you so much!” she screeches. Meanwhile, Jiho takes one more popcorn from the bucket. Stuffs it in her mouth and chews it. Meh, a little too salty for her tastes. Jungkook’s shoulder she leans on feels warm, their hands intertwined not at all sticky with sweat. She can’t help but not smile, though.

“You know you love me, unnie,” Jiho says, straightening to look at Hyojung. She flashes her a wide smile. “You love me so, so, so much.”

Hyojung looks like she wants to yell, but instead gives Jiho one of her sweetest and fakest smiles. Hoseok next to her doesn’t seem to hide how much he’s shit himself, sunkissed face pale from shock, hands tightly gripping Hyojung’s, as though he was the one getting killed at any second. “Let’s not watch this ever again,” Hoseok says, voice thin. He glares at Jungkook as though Jungkook was the demon in the movie. “Ever, you hear me, Jeon Jungkook, Kim Jiho?”

“Mm, fine, hyung,” Jungkook says. Jiho knows Jungkook well to know that Jungkook is going to do this again, and that he will be completely shameless about it. And Jiho is here to enjoy every minute of that. And be shameless with him, of course.

“It wasn’t that scary,” Jiho says. She grabs into the popcorn bag once more, places the popcorn right between her teeth, and Jungkook seems to get it when they lock eyes. He gently leans forward and tilts his head, taking the popcorn with his mouth. Jiho hears Hoseok make a choking noise and Hyojung sigh.

“I really liked the movie too,” Jungkook says, eyes still trained on Jiho. Sometimes (like right now), she’s more aware than usual of how pretty and handsome Jungkook is. Her sweet, sweet Jeon Jungkook. “Although we didn’t see everything.”

“Yeah, it’s a shame.” Jiho sighs and feeds Jungkook one popcorn. “We gotta watch it together sometime else.”

“Make it less obvious you hate us, okay!” Hoseok shouts.

“But you know how we end up kissing at the end,” Jungkook says, like he isn’t really complaining.

“Then choose better horror movies,” Jiho says, like she isn’t really complaining.

“Jiho-ya, Jungkookie, let us know when you’re done so we can watch Eat Pray Love alright?” Hyojung says in a mild tone. Although Jiho still looks at Jungkook only - Jungkook and his pretty, pretty eyes - she knows Hoseok isn’t as nearly as mild about them as Hyojung.

“Hmm, we will,” Jiho and Jungkook say in unison.
