SEX AND THE CITY — 3.18, Cock-a-Doodle-Do
oh man i forgot about a dress i had similar to this on high school. it was fuschia with spaghetti straps, ruffles, and a slant - it was structurally the same to this. it was gorgeous and it was the first time i felt feminine and like i could be desired somehow. i wasn’t, particularly not at that time, or other times in life because i am physically disgusting and have untreated adhd, but it felt like there was a future in the city, a feminine future where one could go out and date and live a sophisticated life. it’s neat how dressing can conjure up dreams like that, and how dressing in a certain way can really mark a whole life era and mindset. i miss that dress and how it made me feel !
