The funniest part about the zukka stuff is that we never expected anything to be canon. It’s basically been like 20 years since the original show. They killed Sokka in Korra, so like we’ve all just been playing with our dolls, having fun, with no worries about the canon material, and then boom, here’s free cake, you weird little guys, because there was a leak. That leak just came with free yaoi subtext that you didn’t even want or need. Truly it’s great but also we’re all freaking out cause no one expected them to give us anything never mind free cake.

im halfway thru s4 of veronica mars and here are some thoughts i have about the revival
- veronica is serving FACE in every episode omg she looks so good
- i rly hate the direction they took with logan. like in the original run he’s the most emotional character of the cast—he cries on screen more than anyone else, and it’s just so raw to see his emotions play out, whether it’s anger, heartbreak, grief, etc. i’m all for going to therapy and dealing with your trauma, but i dislike the message that therapy makes u a less emotional person.
- and that brings me to veronica and her attitude. i know most ppl don’t like her characterization here, and she IS clippy/manufacturing conflict at times, but overall i still think she’s like 50% valid when it comes to logan LOL. i mean, one thing she didn’t like about duncan (which is stated in SEASON 1) is that he ‘stands idly by’ and he’s just…so passive. and we know later that has to do with drugs for his epilepsy. and that’s such a sharp contrast to logan, who was always a firecracker. that’s literally part of what veronica fell in love with (and also a personality trait that idt just goes away with therapy what????? like therapy is about being less hurt not about not expressing ur emotions?????? like u can practice anger management without acting numb to everything?????), and now it’s just gone?? i’d be bewildered if my partner acted like that too UGH
y’all maybe im just a veronica apologist but yeah idk wtf the writers were smoking here re: logan.
also while watching adult veronica solve mysteries w her dad is so cute, i genuinely still hate that the premise of revivals is everyone in their 30s being in the same town/doing the same things/having the same friends as in hs. which the show even calls veronica out for. like lets bffr canon veronica would not be doing that.
ugh anyway. at least we get some more LoVe cutie scenes. ill just scrub the rest of their characterization out of my brain.
i’m mid s3 (postmortem game) of veronica mars and I NEEEEEDDDDDDD to rant. holy shit, why are they making this breakup so emotionally taxing for the VIEWERSSSS??? (logan and the little girl????) if they don’t reconcile after all of this i might stop watching the show 😭😭😭😭
