“Sorry” she giggled, giving him a flirty smile, not at all ashamed at her exuberant greeting. She liked him and had missed him, and felt no reason to hide it. “Hi Mister Oscar” she returned, smiling softly when it seemed like he sniff her. That she wouldn’t comment on, as she would never want to embarrass him. “Oh I’m doing just fine! Sad because Avery and Finn left but..if they’re back and happy with their families that’s a reason to be happy right?”

“Hi Miss Daisy.” He let her go when she stepped back and tried not to feel bereft as she did so. “I had heard there were a fair number of people leaving. But I suppose it is for the best. I hope.” There we go. Whew. Eloquent. It would help if she stopped smiling like that. “So this is, umm, where you work?”

Caroline | Oscar - Dinner on the Beach

Next to the door she had a bag with a blanket and a towel in it to use on the beach, along with some sunblock and sunglasses. At the knock on the door, she moved over to it and opened it with a bright smile on her lips. Looking him over, she felt her stomach flutter a little. Oscar’s ‘wow’ brought a blush to her neck and cheeks. “Well hi yourself, Sugah. I’m great now… How are you,” she asked as she stepped back to let him. “Mind carrying the basket and I’ll grab your towel and my bag?”

“Hi ... yes.. What? Oh right. I’m good. Yes. Good.” Oscar breathed out the words before scolding himself to get it together. He did not just get to stare at Caroline the entire time. That was rude. “Sure. Yes. Of course. I can carry the basket.” He stepped around her and picked up the basket, “Kind of heavy. What all do you have in here?”

He seemed a kind soul and it didn’t hurt that he was attractive. “Well thank you. I appreciate that. I find that tea is always better with company.” She placed the bookmark in her book, closing it ad picking up her teacup, taking a sip. “I’m Jo, by the way. It’s a pleasure to meet you…” She offered her hand and a smile.

Was she offering to touch him. For a second, just a beat too long, he just looked at her. He stretched out a hand and took hers in an appropriate handshake. “I ... I am Oscar. Are you ... do you teach here too?”

Scarlett sat down in the chair and looked up, “There’s nowhere else open, I’ll just eat my muffin and be out of your way.” she assured quickly, taking a bite. 

“Oh ... um. ... stay as long as ... like. You’re so cute.” He found himself blurting out. Then he flushed, “Sorry. That was ummm.... rude. But you are... still it was ... umm, rude.”

“Well there is no other open table given the rush. I’ve been on my feet all day so I just sat at the first open chair I saw. Hope you don’t mind.” Warren explained, smiling a little at the man.

“No, of course, I didn’t ... um .. realize. Please.” He waved a hand toward the chair before, unsure what to do, he picked up his own coffee cup and took a sip. He searched for a question or comment that would be appropriate, “Do you teach here?”

Damien grinned, looking up at the man as he spoke.”I haven’t seen you around,” he said, shrugging a little. “And, I wanted to change that, so here I am.” He grinned at him, running a hand through his hair.

“Oh yes. Hello. Umm... Damien. I saw ... saw your work. It was .. yes, so good.” Oscar replied with a nod. “It is ... um, nice to see you again. How are you?”

Milo settled across from the man and smiled lightly at his question. “I just saw you sitting here and thought I’d stop and say hello,” he said with a little shrug.

“Oh. Um.” Wow, he was really ... how did he get his jaw to look like that ... it was distracting. Right. There was a thought in there, wasn’t there. Hello. Was that it? Good enough place to start he supposed. “Oh well, um, hello I .. I’m Oscar. Oscar Pallando. One of the professors.”

“Do you always look that cute whilst you’re eating?” The witch grinned resting her chin on her hand as she observed him. ”Sorry I’m late… my familiar happened to be snooping around my cursed objects collection. Which he full well knows to stay away from. Crisis averted anyhow…” She chuckled.

Oscar’s cheeks turned a dark flush. “It’s okay.” He had been nervous she wasn’t coming. He had also been nervous that she would come. So really it was 6 of one, half dozen of the other. “I’m glad you got that sorted.” There we go. Whole thought. It didn’t help that she was relaying a cute story of protecting her familiar. Protective, kind, beautiful ... she was extraordinary. Especially when she laughed like that. “So how are you?”

“Shhhhh!” Jace leaned in, putting his finger to his lips and hunkering down at the table. “I am incognito.” His eyes stayed focused on a guard who was queueing up for coffee. “I think that guard may be up to something. So I am being Detective Dragon. You’re my cover.” He shot a grin at Oscar, this explanation apparently satisfactory to him.

Oscar bent low, leaning toward the other man. Wait, wasn’t this the one that said he was a dragon? Yup, he just confirmed it. He couldn’t help but smile. There was just something about this guy. “What do you need me to do?” he asked quietly.

Jo was distracted, a cup of tea in one hand and a book in the other, reading as she moved to what she thought was an empty table. She sat down, setting her mug down on the table to turn the page when a voice spoke, breaking her concentration and she realized the table she sat down at was not empty at all. “Oh dear. I am so sorry.” The brit apologized, blushing slightly. “I was a tad distracted and didn’t realize I was sitting at a place that was already taken.”

Okay so she was really beautiful. You could do this. Surely there was some damn immunity to beautiful after being on this island for so long. Then she spoke. Oh, an accent. Why did women with accents make the soft parts of his brain melt? Focus and answer the question. Wait did she even ask a question? 

“It’s okay. You ... you can stay if you like.” he offered. Not exactly eloquent but sensible and with minimal stumbling. In the face of a beautiful woman with an accent, he thought that was doing pretty damn good.

Oscar settled at the small table in the coffee shop and was about to eat when someone seated themselves in the chair directly across from him. “Oh ...  hello. Can ... can I help you?”

Caroline | Oscar - Dinner on the Beach

Caroline had been baking all day. She wasn’t the greatest cooks out there, but she could make a few dishes really well. One of those dishes just happened to be fried chicken. Once that had been made, she’d gone about making potato salad, macaroni salad, and some fresh tomato and mozzarella salad. For dessert, on the beach, she’d cut up some melon and baked some cookies. With the food all out of the way and neatly packed in a basket, she put a bottle of wine (with a screw top) next to the basket and went to get ready.

As she pulled the bathing suit out, Caroline could admit to being nervous. She’d never bought anything like this before, but on a whim had tried it on and actually liked the way it looked on her. That was what she needed to keep telling herself. She liked how it looked on and it didn’t matter what anyone else thought. After quickly pulling the two pieces on and making sure her breasts were safely tucked into the top, she pulled on her cover up. Slipping on some flip flops, she pulled her hair up into a ponytail and wondered if she should put any make-up on. Deciding against it, she went back into the living room to gather the last few things they would need before Oscar showed up.

Oscar pulled on a pair of long board shorts with a loose t-shirt. He tossed a towel over his shoulder and pushed his feet into simple sandals before strolling over to Caroline’s. He tapped on the door as he reminded himself to speak normally and not to get lost, or distracted, and not to stare at her breasts. Then the door opened and his mouth fell open and he had no words for a few moments. “oh .... wow... I mean hi. Hi. How are you?”

Daisy gave a delighted smile when she got the last text from Oscar. She really had missed him, even though they had just met. He was sweet and adorable, and magical to boot. She felt that she could learn a good deal from him, even with her own powers bound. When the tiny bell chimed over the door and announced his arrival, she shot out of the back room and right into his arms. “Hi Sir! It’s so good to see you again!”

Oscar nearly jumped as the small female threw herself into his arms. He closed them around her, feeling soft warm curves pressed against him. Oh god. “Hi Daisy.” Look at that. Two whole words. Don’t sniff her ... damn, too late. Wow she smelled good. “How are you?”

Oscar stopped outside the apothecary shop and tried to mentally prepare himself. Yes she was beautiful. But he would be cool, and calm and he would not stutter or trip over his feet or act ridiculous. He could do this. Taking a deep breath, he stepped into the shop, which smelled lightly of herbs and magic. “Hello?”
