The Rager Deleted Scenes

Man oh man! I have fallen behind on posting stuff. I have a lot of Wander goodies coming:)

The Rager is one of my favorite episodes of season 2. Masterfully storyboarded by Riccardo Durante, hilariously written by Nate Federman and Craig McCracken, and directed by me! Special shout out to Justin Nichols for some amazing animation in this episode (The thumbs up “Oh Yeah” scene and the why didn’t they invite meeeeee!???!!).

Hater is one of my favorite cartoon characters I have ever worked with, he is sooo much fun to draw and direct! His reads (preformed by Keith Ferguson) are always a joy to draw to. (I still can’t believe he was Bloo)

Here presented to you are some of the scenes I posed out. First up Hater is trying to very hard to convince everyone he is deposed king Lord “Shmater” I tried to make is actions as big and awkward as possible, as if in his head he’s thinking shitshitshitshitshitshitshitaretheybuyingthis?

Next up are a couple of scenes that were cut for time, which is a shame,I love King Shmater! Originally Wander tells Schmater the party has to stop because they are set to destroyed in the morning. Everyone walks back into their cells and Shmater runs after them screaming “But I just got here!” He slumps down sad. Wander smiles to the rest of the kings and he….

Everyone cheers and runs to the door, but the forcefield is blocking the door!

Shmater throws his crown at the forcefield and sneakily clicks his remote. Then….

Everyone gives a knowing look to Wander and cheer.

The Bad Neighbors clip!

I had a lot of fun directing this one. storyboarded by the amazing Riccardo Durante, We worked hard to push Hater and Awesome’s poses and acting to match Keith and Sam’s record.  All the nice drawings are Riccardo’s and the real scribbly ones are mine (trynottopukelookingatthem) Here is a little bit I did with Hater and Awesome. Imagine the guy you hate with all your guts is all in your face and hanging all over you.  It would drive you bananas right? I thought it would be funny if Awesome had a long elaborate leg kick exit. It take him about 6 seconds to leave. We ended up changing his walk backwards. It was too tricky to pull off.
