Look at our crowd for the #shawshankhustle! Good luck to all of our participants!
On Saturday, 7/25, we will be hosting The Shawshank Hustle! We spoke to Roger Bowersock about the event. Roger and his wife organize various runs throughout the year, but are particularly excited about the Shawshank Hustle because of having the Reformatory in the background at the finish line. He is excited about the diversity of runners coming to the event because there are young and old that love the movie and even people in the runners circle that didn't even know the movie was filmed in Ohio. We are all very excited about this event and hope you are too! #shawshankhustle #shawshank #ohiostatereformatory

A week from tomorrow, we are hosting Ink in the Clink, a tattoo and music festival. You may be asking yourself why we are hosting such an event at an old prison. The answer is prison life certainly promotes tattoos and being “tatted up”, so of course the perfect place for that would be at The Ohio State Reformatory!
With each tattoo, their is usually some meaning behind why the person wanted it. We thought it would be interesting to share the meaning behind some prison tattoos because of the upcoming event, so if you’re interested, take a look!
Did you know that we have a gift shop not only available to guests who visit for events and tours, but an online shop open to anyone? The online shop has all of our newest items available for purchase.
Our shop has items for everyone including beer mugs, t-shirts, hoodies, ball caps, books, and coffee mugs. Click here to look for yourself!
As promised, here are the pictures from the Dropt-N-Destroyed car show this past weekend!
Did you attend the Dropt-N-Detroyed Car Show this past weekend?
This past weekend, (5/30-5/31) we hosted the Dropt-N-Destroyed car show here at the Ohio State Reformatory. It was an event filled with music, fun, and of course, tours!
This was an event for all of those car lovers out there! We even had some guests from out of state.
There were so many cars to see. There were cars full of subs and speakers and cars dropt down low. We had some vintage cars and some new cars. If you wanted to see it, we had it here! Keep an eye out for some pictures of the event on here, our Instagram, and our Facebook!
