i see i didn’t delete my Team USA post fast enough. On one hand, glad it’s picked up a few notes. On the other hand, I didn’t really want to post it and a better version will be coming on the eighth man.

“Never give up! Failure and success are only the first steps to succeeding.” Jimmy V
As a young boy I was drawn to sports primarily because that’s where I found community. I loved playing with my friends and I embraced the sense of camaraderie that came from competing together, striving to achieve a shared purpose and accomplish a common goal. Some of the teams that I competed on were highly successful, while others were not. At times I was the best player on my team, but more often than I’d like to admit, I was the last player off the bench. You might assume that my favorite moments as an athlete were the times when I was the best player on the best team, but that wasn’t always true. I remember making a few game winning shots, but I also have fond memories of sitting on the bench and cheering on my teammates when they needed my support. I remember winning championships, but I also remember hugging teammates and shedding tears after difficult losses.
All of the lessons that I learned as an athlete are still with me today. I’ve always loved sports, but over the past few years I’ve become disenchanted with with the incessant saturation of most mainstream forms of athletics. I’ve always believed that sports at its best should uphold community as much as competition and value camaraderie over wins and losses. Those are the values that drew me to USQ and they are the foundation upon which this organization will continue to grow and thrive. We are a community of board members, staff, volunteers, athletes, officials, and fans who support competitive opportunities for players, in a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. We are a beacon of light to all other forms of athletics, pioneering the path towards gender inclusivity. We are dedicated to seeing a future where every person in the United States is aware of the sport of quidditch and have opportunities to play and engage at all levels.
I am so excited to lead such an amazing organization at a time when we celebrate our 10th year as a sport. Â I am committed to doing whatever I can to lead this organization towards unprecedented levels of achievement. I have no doubts that we will continue to thrive and support our players and teams at the highest level, but to accomplish everything that we set out to do we need continued support from our fabulous volunteers, as well new partnerships and donations from a broader constituency. With additional volunteer and financial support, we can establish the foundation for long-term sustainability and expansion.
Congratulations to all of the teams that competed at NERC and good luck to everyone else competing throughout the season!

“ Everyone seems to have a problem with what the USQ is doing, then volunteer. They always need volunteers but no one ever wants to. I guess its easier to complain from your computer then to put in work and improve the sport. “

Toaster eggs are an example of a product that didn’t catch on with the public.

I want to go to here!
Who wants to go on a road trip??
But you could put round toaster eggs on round waffles and make an egg sandwich for breakfast with your round sausage
I’m so upset right now
I am ridiculously curious about this now.Â
Like, how much of the museum’s content was because it was a really dumb idea that managed to get backing, and how much was just a result of poor marketing of what were otherwise really awesome ideas?
How much were a result of getting shut down by the FDA?
How much were just badly timed but could still make a comeback with just the right interest?
Lol toaster eggs
So uh how far is ann arbor from detroit? osuquidkeeper
