Fujoshi Problems

Unsuspecting Friend: Hey what are you always doing on your phone?

Me: Oh, nothing much, just reading...

Unsuspecting Friend: *leans over my shoulder and glances at my phone*

Me: *pterodactyl screech* *slams phone face down on the table*

Unsuspecting Friend: ... ummm are you OK?

Me: *hissss*

Unsuspecting Friend: Dude, you're creeping me out...

Me: *picks up phone and walks away to a corner* *glares at friend from corner*

Unsuspecting Friend: Weirdo...

If You Haven’t Noticed Yet, I’m a Weeb....

HEY!!!! So if you haven’t already guessed it yet (from my name or from the title) I’M A WEEB!!!!!

To say the least, I am fairly new in this weeb life... I started watching anime when I was young (like 4/5 yrs old) but that was only stuff like Pokemon and occasionally Dragon Ball Z. I wasn’t very interested in it at the time... I mean I enjoyed Pokemon greatly but I was soon bored of it (*gasp*) and my parents often restricted a lot of shows on the TV so it was difficult to watch anime and cartoons.

Anyway, I started to get back into anime and manga when my ex recommended to watch Soul Eater. I liked it and started watching more mainstream anime but it never really clicked for me. I prefer reading manga more than watching anime but in my down time I will watch anime if it interests me.

Genres I prefer are action, adventure, comedy, supernatural/sci-fi, tragedy, and historical. Demographics I prefer are shounen ai, shoujo, and yaoi.

I think it is clear that I’m a fujoshi when I mentioned my preference of demographics but all in all I will read just about any type of manga if it has an interesting plot. Even for smutty manga, I prefer it not to be a simple sex without plot type of story. I also enjoy stories with a lot of character development and strong female leads.
