Winry stared down at the various papers within her grip, her hands shaking with excitement as eyes read through the loose pages with overwhelming enthusiasm. They were the most recent projects and designs for her grandmother’s recent appointments, a new design for a mechanical leg here and a automatic-working feather duster there.
All of these designs made her heart squeal with excitement and she would have physically responded with the same passion if she wasn’t in public. She was ready to use these designs and implement them for her own use, mentally calculating her personal changes.
With her eyes fixated on her various papers, she roughly bumped into someone with her full body. Reflexively, she held her hands up but had let go of her papers in the process. “Ahh!” she cried, realizing that papers had gone flying everywhere. She prayed that the person hadn’t dropped anything, but she desperately needed to pick her stuff up. But she should also help them pick anything up of theirs.
Everything was so conflicting with her emotions right now.
“I’m so sorry!” she cried as she bent down, beginning to grab any paper she could get her hand on; these were priority because the wind could pick up.

Since starting school at Twilight Town University, she had heard the rumors and praise among the other students of the professor who wore a white labcoat. She heard the gossip especially during her introductory physics class and she knew that she had to meet this man.
Especially because this rumored professor seemed to have involvement with electronics, and she would need to learn his ways if she wanted to make her items.
She waltzed down the hallways, looking for the name plaque but couldn’t find it, no matter how hard she looked. Winry frowned, unable to allow herself to give up. She continued to wander around until a flash of white caught her attention; a flash of white that was connected to a person.
“Wait!” she called out. She had to make sure; and this was her one chance her risk embarrassing herself. “You’re the professor that’s always wearing the labcoat, right? Right?!”

The more days that passed by, the more Winry believed that she had made the correct decision to stay on Twilight Town’s campus instead of returning back home to her grandmother. She enjoyed taking her walks throughout the campus and the town, engulfing herself in radiant rays uproarious crowds.
It was amazing how something so simple could be this exhilarating.
She had been making her usual rounds through campus when she heard some voices calling out and a baseball flying in her direction. She flinched and lifted her hands to cover her face, but the ball was no where near her and she instead watched it crash into the large windows of the campus center.
“What the-” she managed to mutter as small shards of glass rained down and she continued covering her face.

As soon as Winry saw the advertisements posted throughout the town, she knew that she was going to have to take part in a car show that was going to be taking place. When she had first found out, she had quickly called her grandmother and screamed into the phone, showing her blatant excitement as she quickly began making plans.
The garage she worked at gave her a car, one that had been donated for parts a few months back. It looked like garbage, but this was going to be her new baby. The car was going to have to work done to it.. It would have to look snazzy. It was going to need the most perfectly fixed car ever, but the time for the show was drawing too near. And there wasn’t enough time for this girl to work on her lonesome.
She had quickly decided to make her own posters, searching for someone experienced with cars to be able to help her take on the feat. She quickly posted them around school , but she was going to need to work harder to find a helper so she stood in front of the campus center and began personally handing out fliers.
“Car show coming up!” she would say. “Looking for a fellow mechanic! Come work on a car!” Yet she felt like she was getting no where.

Summer was the time of year when one could make plans to go around and do whatever they wanted. There were no limitations holding them back: no classes, no fears of judgement. It was the time for freedom. Winry had been beyond excited that she finally had finally made plans to go to the beach. It wasn’t something that she was able to do back home, being out in the country with surrounding pastures and fields of grain. She had even left early to avoid traffic and find the best spot on warm sands.
But fate had a funny way of ruining her plans, and the rain began to fall after she already halfway there. She took her cover under the awning of a bus stop, but the damage had already been done. She was soaked to the bone and water dripped from her fingers. Blonde hair plastered itself to her hair. Sadly it was too late for her to try and return home. It was too far away.
“What crummy luck,” she said, wiping the water off her arms. Blue eyes flickered and she saw someone else here with her. “You taking refuge too?”
