Now that I think about it, I'm not sure I've ever read a fanfiction where Ginny's job as a pro Quidditch player was represented realistically. She never has an agent, she never has a publicist, she never has a personal physical therapist, she never does photo shoots, she never has to worry about deals with brands...
There's also a general refusal to admit that she would be really rich (which of course means she would have a financial advisor).
Two things you can be sure of is that Ginny's sweater once belonged to Fred (or George, I can't tell them apart) and she stole Charlie's bag. And yes, she has a "Potter' stinks" bottom (she tells everyone she has it because it's true lol, and it always makes Harry blush and she can burst out laughing). Luna made Ginny's necklace. Oh, and the person who took this picture was Harry.
LOOK AT HER, LOOK AT GINNY FUCKING WEASLEY
harry who calls his time with ginny as the happiest he's ever been
harry who watched ginny run with the train during his first year until his vision could no longer see her
harry who at twelve said ginny blushed like the setting sun
harry who was the first to notice how sickly ginny's been looking in her first year
harry who who got angry and irritated with percy for shooing ginny away when she was about to tell them something important
harry who said ginny being taken down in the chamber was the worst day of his life
harry who always looks for ginny's eyes when something funny happens because he knows she'll get it
harry who got himself injured because he was staring at ginny fly so he got distracted
harry who said that his resolve will always break easily if he was near ginny
harry who thought of ginny before he died
harry who chose to come back to life because he wanted a life with ginny

prompt: plank
25. Blackbeard
“Harry?” Ginny asked.
He looked up from his book. Ginny was nearest the water of the lake, her shoes off because she had waded through the water before they settled in this quiet spot. The sun was sending vibrant hues through her hair and her face was relaxed.
“Yeah?”
She glanced at the water. “Did muggle pirates really make people walk the plank?”
“There are magical pirates?” It seemed logical, but it had simply never occurred to him and if they had touched upon it in History of Magic, he had entirely missed it.
Her head whipped back towards him. “How are you, after all this time, still so surprised by magic?” Her gaze was full of amusement as she curled her arms around her legs and rested her head on her knees.
He shrugged, keeping his eyes on her. “It just keeps popping up in places I don’t expect.”
“You’ve heard of Blackbeard!”
Harry nodded. “A famously muggle pirate.”
“No. How could you possibly think he is a muggle? He is one of the successful pirates ever and he would have a smoky beard to frighten the muggles!” She put her hands out in front of her as some kind of Blackbeard-zombie re-enactment.
“A muggle could have done that,” Harry argued.
Ginny shrugged and waved his argument away. She pushed off the ground and walked over to him before sitting down on top of him. “So, Harry Potter, what about the plank?”
“I’d love to tell you,” he murmured, his arms looping around her waist with practised ease, “but I wasn’t alive 300 years ago.”
“I’ll make you walk the plank for not answering,” she teased, her lips brushing over his.
He captured them and kissed her, her threat falling on deaf ears. Thankfully for Harry, Ginny was now sufficiently distracted and he was set on keeping her distracted until it was time to go inside.
In HBP Harry actually saw a short redhead girl who could single-handedly kick ass at Quidditch to a whole team of grown men and thought "Fuck, that's hot. I'm going to spend the next 600 pages pining for her."
[Deathly Hallows] Hermione: Harry- Harry, sighing despondently: Ginny used to call me Harry. Ron: Because it's your fucking name.
Ginny (sitting on the couch, casually flipping through Witch Weekly): "You've been named the coolest person in the wizarding world... again."
Harry (busy preparing dinner): "I'm not even the coolest person in this room."
Guys it’s another one! This time it’s all about the grownups.. almost all
Also.. what is Tom doing here?

Maybe for ginny's birthday, which was a few days ago...
it’s so funny when people say ginny was a crazy fangirl obsessed harry and the idea of harry, she didn’t actually ‘love’ him. when she was in fact the one person harry said made him feel like a regular person in the crazy whirlwind that was his life. like he literally says ‘it’s been like something out of someone else’s life…these last few weeks with you’ because him falling in love and mucking around like a teenager with her was one of the only times in the series he felt normal.
yes, ginny clearly had a crush on him when she was a child, but there’s very clearly a shift in the harry she first likes (the legend, the myth - the stranger who risks his life at age 12 to save hers) and the actual harry (the one who’s been so much shit but still has the kindest of hearts, some serious anger issues and can be hard to be around sometimes). as they both mature, she sees all of him, and understands who he is and why he acts the way he does, and grows to love him for the person he is, not the version of him she had in her head as a child. that’s what makes their love story so good.
She's Ron's sister, Harry told himseld firmly. Ron's sister. She's out-of-bounds.

The door of the nearest greenhouse opened and some fourth years spilled out of it, including Ginny. “Hi,” she said brightly as she passed.
Harry noticing Ginny when it does nothing to the main narrative is one of my fave things to catch.
