Hey

Does anyone else have like. Anxiety-related memory problems. Like, after you do something, you start wondering if you messed something up or did something wrong, and you get really anxious over possible mistakes you made and you genuinely can’t remember if you made those mistakes or not?

Like for example maybe you write someone a letter and then after sending it you start imagining you made some terrible mistake and despite the fact that you yourself wrote and proofread and sent it, you can’t remember if you did or not?

It happens to me a l o t and it’s terrible and scary because I can’t trust my own memories when I’m anxious

Any book is instantly improved with the addition of decorative jewels! This 1610 copy of Lustgartlein (Ein Geistlich) contains 187 garnets and 8 amethysts. The acquisition papers that accompany our copy describe this book as follows:

“This remarkable contemporary binding is decorated with 8 delicately ornamented gilt silver cornerpieces, two similarly executed catches and clasps and with two oval center-pieces of sculptured religious representatives (Jesus Christ with angels and bust of Christ, etc.). Each of these silver sculptures - at the corners and in the center - is decorated with a large number of garnets, 18[7] in all, and with 8 amethysts, one decorating each corner-piece. The publisher, Georg Widmanstetter (1587-1618), was perhaps the most outstanding Austrian typographer of the period.”
