WIP I Thought It Was Wednesday But Apparently It's Thursday

Anyway here's a bit from the new Advent of the Red Comet part 2 that I'm working on, just to prove I haven't forgotten it.

Severia Zetsuen was headed for the Cosmoliner when she was surrounded by the pitter-patter of tiny booted feet. Loporrits appeared from around every corner, popped out from every nook and cranny. "Warrior of Light, please wait!" "You just arrived! Why don't you take a seat and have some refreshment?" "Try the new carrot latte! It's wonderful!" "Does your gear need any repair?" "Or your tools sharpening?" "Have you checked in with Orbitingway yet? There's some great new prizes!" Severia rounded on them, hands on her hips, a dangerous glint in her eye. "Do not mention Orbitingway to me." She sighed. "All right, all right. I get it! I was just going to get in a bit of work because I'm behind on my research but I can clearly see you were all instructed to stall me. So where is he?" There was a growing mechanical roar and a whoosh of air that nearly knocked her off her feet as Nero's familiar mech flew much to closely over her head. "Show off," she muttered as Nero made a precisely controlled landing just beside her. Several Loporrits were blown away. Nero tore off his headset communicator and pointed an accusing finger down at Severia. "You'll not escape me that easily!" "I'm not escaping! And even if I was you couldn't stop me and you know it!" Nero reached over the side of the vacuum suit's open cockpit and grabbed Severia's wrist. He heaved and her petite form flew up into his arms. "Ow! Nero! I hate it when you do that!" Nero settled her in his lap and nuzzled her horn. "Are you sure about that?" "Stop it. You're going to dislocate my shoulder one day." He nibbled at her neck. "I missed you." "You are the most frustrating person I've ever met!" But her arms had wrapped around his shoulders by then and she leaned into him. "I missed you too." Nero grinned in triumph and grabbed the controls. Severia hung on tight as he took off once more to circle the hub and park the mech properly in its hangar.

Oh by the way I deleted part 2 of my Advent of the Red Comet story the other day cause I decided it didn't work for me and I'm working on something better. It should be coming soon.
