I’m North! I mostly post FFXIV stuff- at least once a week.

If I make something cool and post it, do what you want with it, especially if it’s of your oc. Keep it, lose it, crop it, ignore it, whatever. Just never. Ever ever ever ever feed it into AI.

I am replaying the game trying to experience all the side-quests and duties along side the MSQs and that will be tagged #replaying ffxiv (this is Flower’s progress)

(Where does your inspiration typically come from? Do you need walks in nature or to read certain books?) For the ask game, please.

I'm not sure I go to one particular place to search for inspiration, but sometimes things I read or things in other games will spark something.

Often I get inspiration from other people's creativity on here, not - I hasten to add - in the sense that I go around plagiarising their ideas, but just that something might get me thinking about a scenario or event in a different way.

I do drive a lot for work, so sometimes I will come up with something on the motorway!

I’ve kind of mentioned this before but Flower’s biggest contradiction is “Life is precious. No one deserves to feel pain or to suffer.” Coupled with “Except anyone trying to hurt those under my care.” But he’ll then make sure any enemies he meets in battle don’t die. He doesn’t think it’s fair to play executioner when, to the other side, he and Azure are the dangerous villains.

9- What is the one thing they believe they are not meant for

I could just make a joke and say Noct doesn’t think he’s meant for singing. But that’s the easy way out. (It’s true though)

Noct doesn’t believe he’s meant for a quiet life. He’d love to have one. The kind of life where he goes to work in the morning and comes home at night to Sagando and never has to worry about either of them dying. But he goes stir-crazy when he’s in one place for too long and is a borderline adrenaline junkie. I say borderline because he’d much rather be doing something stupid in or near a big city than crawling through caves hoping something won’t nearly take his head off. Again.

7. Where is your OC's family from? Does your OC feel a close connection to that place? Why or why not?

Flower’s parents, the only ones he knows, are from Ishgard. They were exiled, or at least that’s what they’ve always told him and he’s never questioned the why or how of it.

If Flower feels a close connection to it, it’s only because it’s where the Fortemps are, not for anything to do with his family.

I guess in a way you could also say they’re from the east shroud and he very much does have a strong connection there. That’s where he’s worked to create a greenhouse and garden that holds samples of endangered and rare plants and insects for the eorzean equivalent of conservation work.

Do you have any advice, funny stories, or tips you’ve wanted an opportunity to share? Or a friend you want to highlight?

I’ll go with highlighting @immortelleflowers this time. :D The way she answers asks is so creative and I really enjoy learning about her ocs! She’s encouraging and kind to boot!

For any of your OCs you feel has the most entertaining answer. 7- If they wanted something they don't have what means would they resort to in order to obtain it

Oh! Yuki would ask one of her brothers. The perpetually poor one would say no, the other might say yes but often reasons with her why she should wait or shouldn’t have it. (Because he’s perpetually poor too). She’d then ask her sister-in-law. Who would probably say yes and help her backflip through a back window to “borrow” it, if you get the meaning!

10. What's the first significant injury your OC remembers getting? Did it leave any scars?

Seela:

She received a nasty gash a little too close to her femoral artery for comfort. It was a monster of some sort in Kholusia, and Ardbert thankfully dispatched it quickly before it could do any damage. She had to talk him through finding the right equipment in her bag while she kept pressure on the wound. She was woozy, but able to at least get herself together enough to use a little healing magic. Ardbert had to help her limp back to Tomra for help. She has a light scar from the event, and she was actually grateful that Ardbert learned a few non-magick healing skills along the way.

Garrett:

He encountered an angry fish while swimming on the north end of the Bloodshore, and it left several ragged gashes on his arms and leg. He left a trail of blood on the beach, drank all the potions he had, and limped to Costa Del Sol where he was promptly turned away for scaring the clientele. He mustered enough will to teleport to Limsa, and sought the services of a healer that he had spent a night with not long before. Thankfully he was in the man's good graces enough to get his wound healed, and with minimal scaring. (He spent another night and considered it fair payment.)
