Azem
The Fourteenth seat, who adores her people and their city, yet cannot help but see their flaws. Rumours of her being a creation and 'not real' have followed her since childhood. Content to bend the rules as suits the purpose to aid others; unrelentingly kind in the most stubborn of ways. Married to Hades and Hythlodaeus. Main classes Dancer and Paladin.

Opens with Darling, set during the Final Days. After learning the truth of the future from Venat, Azem tells her daughter stories about her family and attempts to work out a way to save her from being sundered.
The continuation begins with One Step Closer, where the WoL tries to work out what life looks like after the choice she made in Ultima Thule.
A look at some of Antonia's (WoL's previous but one incarnation) story, As Sun Upon the Snow, fits within this universe, but contains no direct references to it.

Reflections in Stardust
Of course Hythlodaeus' new roommate and oldest friend is a musical theatre snob and playing in productions of Shakespeare at the National...

Regency
In which there are myriad rumours surrounding the taciturn and anti-social Hades, but fellow not-quite-outcasts Azem and Hythlodaeus are not one bit deterred.
Is a marriage of convenience really a marriage of convenience when it's also quite plainly for love?
Fics and aesthetics: #for want of a ribbon.
Fate Eternal
A soulmate AU detailed here, in which soulmates can feel one another's intense pain and both the WoL and Emet-Selch endure more than one sort of agony over the course of the MSQ.
Fics: #fate eternal.
Betwixt the Stars
A sci-fi AU detailed here, in which Amaurot's civilisation is divided amongst a fleet of starships, with much of its key functions and defense centered on its fourteen flagships, captained by the Convocation. Hades and Hythlodaeus command The Underworld, while Azem's ship is The Shepherd. Their marriage is the worst kept secret in the fleet.
Fics: #betwixt the stars.
Souls in Bloom
A WoL x Hades x Hythlodaeus flower shop AU, in which the so-called Witch of Elpis is a sparingly spoken florist who has an uncanny ability to know which flowers her customers need, something Hythlodaeus and Hades discover when the former insists on seeing if the rumours are true.
Fics: #souls in bloom.
Of Tea and Tempests
A reincarnated Azem crosses paths with Emet-Selch during a protracted conflict between the people of her nation and that which he has decided to lead into battle. Stems from drabble six of Metempsychosis.

Royalty AU
The crown was never meant for Hades. Azem and Hythlodaeus were never meant to return to court. After ten years apart and a decade of heartache, is there anything of what they were that they can save?
Much of the past three hours has been an endeavour in not letting his attention stray with any great frequency to his too pale wife; further, an effort not to get to his feet and insist she depart the meeting she has stubbornly decided to attend despite being in no fit state to do so.
No, Hades has stared at the far windows, at the floor, and at the ugly vases – in-fact, anywhere that he might rest his focus and not invite comment or find himself unable to resist making a scene and attempting to herd her from the chamber.
(In one, brief, imagining, he throws her over one shoulder while she tries to scrabble free and mutters all manner of threat as he stalks for the imposing doors, Lahabrea and Pashtarot’s evident displeasure something he delightedly ignores.)
He could swear that it is deliberate when those very two are the ones to stall him from leaving – from following after her – at the meeting’s conclusion, full of questions crafted to sound more urgent than they truly are, and impossible to sidestep without making it appear like a dereliction of duty.
It is with a bitingly cool politeness that he delivers the answers required, in far more detail than he knows very well is expected, Pashtarot’s scowl at each unnecessary moment spent not nearly payment enough for the delay.
Azem’s office, he does not even consider checking, instead heading straight out into the golden warmth of the gardens at the centre of the Capitol building, certain that she will not have done the sensible thing and returned home to recover from travels that returned her to him frighteningly fragile and bruised, but lingered to wait for him.
And it is there that he discovers that another has found her first, for beneath the shade of a leafy tree, its boughs home to tumbling blossoms in soft pink, she lies cradled in Hythlodaeus’ arms, curled entirely trustingly against him and seemingly fast asleep.
If now, he meanders towards them a little more slowly simply to drink in the sight of them, perhaps it is just as well that he keeps company with contrary creatures such as they.
Like calls to like, after all.
Reaching a halt just out of reach of the shade and what blush-hued flickers of light branches and bountiful leaves permit to slip through, he folds his arms, hiking his shoulders higher as he buries worry and fascination both, taking on the mantle of one most cross indeed, just as they will expect of him.
But even Hythlodaeus does not stir, his eyes closed and braid loosened, the latter presumably the work of the wife who does so love to run her fingers through their hair.
For one of those awful, ridiculous moments that takes hold of him from nowhere, steeped in death and its many euphemisms as he is, he is suddenly certain that Azem is too deeply asleep and Hythlodaeus is too still, and of course it is the price to pay for his never having deserved them at all, for he has fought and pretended and—
A most undignified scrambling has him crawling into shadow and all but into Hythlodaeus’ lap to peer at him, his nose less than a hand span from his.
Lips twitch in a teasingly fond smile that is both wonderful beyond measure and absolutely infuriating all at once, as his husband murmurs, “If you wanted a kiss, all you had to do was ask.”
He considers seizing him by the front of his robes and shaking him, for it is a far better option than confessing his surrender to some ridiculous, illogical fear, but instead claims the suggested kiss as payment, just as Azem’s amber eyes open and fix sleepily upon them both.
“Oh,” she says softly, all content warmth. “That’s very nice. May I have one too?”
Even blushing so furiously and as half beside himself as he knows he is...
For @diggingforkuponuts' reverse asks! I chose two questions from their OC ask list here. Wishing an early happy nameday to Flower! 🩷

Do they own a lava lamp or adjacent type of lighting (such as a jellyfish lamp)?
There is a room in her home that Hades and Hythlodaeus created for her as a sanctuary and quiet place when she was expecting their third child. It’s full of glowing flowers and various flora and greenery that cast soft colours through the branches of the trees they brought to life, and there are lots of the multi-hued glass lights in the style of those in Radz-at-Han too. When she’s having difficulty sleeping or gets tangled up in recollections and nightmares, she spends time there, which is much better than shutting herself in their small library, as she used to.
Do they cook? Are they good at it? Did they have a talent for it or did they need a lot of coaching?
She’s more of a baker than a cook, but very good at both. Arguably, it isn’t something that comes naturally to her (though her husbands have told her that she uses creation magic in the process without deliberately intending to) and she has worked on it since the conclusion of the Endwalker MSQ. She took up botany to help with her baking, and likes to use a lot of fresh ingredients in her various cakes and pastries and biscuits. That those she cares about most are often distant from each other is something she’s quite conscious of, so, every now and then, she’ll bake batches of things they each like, mix them all up, and send them out across the star to her friends.
17- If their worldviews were to be challenged how would they react? how stubborn would they be about it
She tries to be quite open-minded, but also not to overtly show this, so as to try and avoid people attempting to sway her for their own purposes. She's very good at listening, in that she'll absorb information and dwell on it (over-think it) for a while before forming her own opinion. In the early days, she knows she let the Scions inform her worldview too much, as she didn't believe her education was anything compared to theirs, and she essentially 'did as she was told' for a while. However, she is well-read and she has absorbed all manner of information from her various travels, and she's more confident now in deciding when and when not to go along with the choices of others. Ultimately, her worldviews are ever-changing. Yes, she can be stubborn, but that's more in direct relation to specific individuals than ideology or viewpoint.
