Do you think Brooke and Lucas and the same chemistry as Nathan and Hayley? Like was one better than the other?
In terms of chemistry, no I don’t think one was better than the other, I think it becomes about which dynamic you prefer to watch and it becomes more about what each ship does best.
Like Naley definitely went through angsty phases of their relationship
but angst isn’t what they’re known for and angst isn’t a weak point for them but it’s not a strong point either, like their circumstances can be angsty but they are not angsty what they do is homeliness, comfort, groundedness
which isn’t to say that Brucas doesn’t have that because I’ve consistently maintained that there’s a warmth to Brucas that I really enjoyed and that Leyton just never had
but their chemistry is also intense
and it makes them do angst really well
where even when it’s a cute, loving, perfect-timing kind of scene, even when it’s a lusty scene, there’s an inherent longing quality to it
What I will say is that I found Sophia and Chad to be the stronger actors on the show so I felt that Brucas lived in their emotion more than Naley because they had their chemistry as an added bonus to their acting, like I believe this because I believe Naley
and I know it’s kind of an iconic scene for that couple but Bethany isn’t really giving me much in terms of emotion, it’s just … OK.
I am more inclined to objectively believe the emotion in this scene
He should be so lucky… I am Brooke Davis!
