i just remembered that when claire tells jamie she’s from the future in outlander after he asks her if she’s a witch he just like. accepts it. he’s so in love with her he was not only chill with her being a witch even though they’re in 18th century scotland. he immediately is also cool with her saying she’s actually from the future instead of like. freaking out or having doubts about her. and she asks him if he doesn’t think she’s crazy and he goes nah then he just. takes her to the rocks. because of course she must be saying the truth and of course she’s not crazy she’s claire. and he loves her so much and he wants her to be happy and to feel at home. and he knows that that means parting from her but its ok. its ok as long as she’s ok. so he takes her but claire doesn’t go and when she comes back to jamie he’s just. silently crying. just lying there crying. and he perks up as soon as he sees her again and he’s probably worried that it didn’t work but that wasn’t it. claire decided to stay. and he’s so thrilled. he’s so thrilled that home for claire is wherever he is now. fuck im so emotional.
