(for anyone stumbling on this: this is a bonus prequel short story set in the world of my debut medieval fantasy novel, The Princess Knight. It follows Ronan, one of the protagonists of The Princess Knight, two years before the events of the book. I jokingly call it the "halloween fanfic", as it shows Clía and Ronan's forgotten first meeting during a Básgrain festival. It's best read after finishing The Princess Knight, as it also contains a glimpse of the protagonists a few months after the events of the book.)
