Roles and Responsibilities,
- Perform the main event features like original songs, collabs, covers etc.
- Counting each person entering a venue.
- Doing quick searches of each person that enters to make sure they don’t have any concealed weapons or narcotics.
- Ensuring the queue outside a venue is organised.
- Watching over the crowd to stop any violence and ensure that everybody in the venue is safe.
- Protecting the performer(s) from any threats.
- Bartenders – serve drinks at the bar inside the venue.
- Merchandise Sellers – sell the performer(s)’s merchandise such as t-shirts inside the venue.
- Lost Property Managers – Allow people to retrieve anything that they had lost during the gig that has been found afterwards.
- Cloak Room Managers – Take people’s coats and bags before the show and allow them
- Street Team (Flyers, Posters, etc.)
- Box Office Staff/Promoters (Ticket Sellers)
- Overseeing hotel departures on time
- Settling accommodation bills
- Overseeing travel arrangements; i.e. band and crew onto the bus or to the airport in good time
- Paying per diems to the band/artist and crew
- Overseeing venue arrival - double-checking hospitality and technical arrangements
- Arranging up-to-date running order with venue and promoter
- Overseeing promotional activities; i.e. TV, radio and press interviews at the venue or at other locations
- Supervising setup operations
- Supervising any support or opening acts
- Ensuring venue is ready to open on time by supervising sound check times
- Liaising with transport department regarding the next days' travel
- Ensuring all acts perform on time and for the allotted time
- Settling performance fee with promoter and collecting any due cash
- Ensuring all touring equipment is re-packed and loaded back onto tour transport
- Preparing band and crew schedule sheets for the next day
- Overseeing band and crew on to appropriate overnight transport or to next hotel
- Reporting this show's attendance figures to management and booking agent
- Troubleshooting unforeseen issues and emergencies that occur
- Ordering after show food for the band and crew
- Unload and set up the instruments and equipment.
- Backline Technicians with an orchestra may be required to set up the stage to the orchestra's lay out, including chairs, music stands, sheet music, risers and rostra percussion and keyboards. - Help musicians with large instruments such as harps and basses.
- Mix audio for the audience, and most often operates from the middle of the audience or at the last few rows of the audience. The output signals from the FOH console connects to a Sound reinforcement system.
- Move and set up of various pieces of lighting equipment for separation of light and shadow or contrast, depth of field and/or visual effects.
- Lay electrical cables, wire fixtures, install color effects or image patterns, focus the lights, and assist in creating effects or programming sequences.
- A lighting technician's work concerns safety of rigging and working with objects which can be very heavy and get very hot.
- To assist in the fit up and change over of each production on stage, on stage show cues during the performances, and general duties required for the running of performances.
- To ensure all staging requirements of the productions are prepared to an excellent standard and are ready and functioning for rehearsals and performances.
- Maintain a good practice of health and safety in all areas and report any problems to the production manager.
- Assist in ensuring all under stage and orchestra areas are set as required for the performance. You will be required to liaise with the orchestra manager regarding the pit set up for each performance.
- To construct minor scenic elements relevant to skill level and to undertake minor technical alterations to scenery.
- To help maintain Scenery and props to the highest standard possible.
- To carry out any other tasks that will, from time to time be allocated by the Head of Stage, Deputy Head of Stage or Production Manager on an ad hoc or continuing basis, relevant with the general level of responsibility of the post.
- Processes reservations by mail, telephone, telex, cable, fax or central reservation systems referral.
- Processes reservations from the sales office, other hotel departments, and travel agents.
- Knows the type of rooms available as well as their location and layout.
- Knows the selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans.
- Knows the credit policy of the hotel and how to code each reservation.
- Creates and maintains reservation records by date of arrival and alphabetical listing.
- Determines room rates based on the selling tactics of the hotel.
- Prepares letters of confirmation.
- Communicates reservation information to the front desk.
- Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk.
- Understands the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.
- Processes advance deposits on reservations.
- Tracks future room availabilities on the basis of reservations.
- Helps develop room revenue and occupancy forecasts.
- Prepares expected arrival list for front office use.
- Assists in preregistration activities when appropriate.
- Monitors advances deposit requirements.
- Handles daily correspondence. Responds to inquires and makes reservations as needed.
- Makes sure that files are kept up to date.
- Maintains a clean and neat appearance and work area at all times.
- Promotes goodwill by beings courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, mangers, and fellow employees.
- Walk around with the client and ensuring that they secure whatever services they are in need of.
- Getting information about areas of interest in order to target more clients in particular seasons.
- Making arrangements for clients travel programs.
- To be aware of all front office procedures and assist with reception duties when required.
- To be fully aware of and adhere to health and safety, fire and bomb threat procedures.
- Willing to undertake any reasonable request made by management in any other areas of the house.
- Open and close the availability as and when required of hotel in all the GDS channels, IDS channels and on the hotel website.
- Configuring rates on the hotels property management system.
- Researching markets to identify opportunities for events;
- Liaising with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements;
- Producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets);
- Agreeing to, and managing a budget;

- Ensuring insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to;
- Coordinating venue management, caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire;

- Overseeing the dismantling and removal of the event and clearing the venue efficiently;
- Post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders).

The designer or composer combines and varies the five controllable properties of sound to create unique effects or music required by the production of the play.
The controllable properties of sound are:
Pitch - the wavelength or frequency of the sound
Volume - the loudness or quietness of the sound
Quality - how pitch and volume combine to give each sound its own distinctive effect
Direction - the location of the sound in space and how sound travels from one location to another
Duration - the length of time the sound lasts
Sound Editors are responsible for all sound post production. They are the director's main point of contact for everything concerning the production soundtracks.
Music producer oversees the artistic, financial and technical demands of a recording project. Producers also must be able to consistently elicit outstanding vocal and instrumental performances from the featured artists. At the major label level, the producer may also work in shaping songs deemed to have commercial potential.
Primary job as a runner is to ensure the smooth running of the studios and sessions on a day-to-day basis. The morning routine involves checking every studio and lounge is tidy and stocked with necessary items (pens, pads of paper, etc). Any unnecessary items not required for that day’s sessions are removed and put away. Each runner has an internal phone so that we can be contacted by any member of staff.
Music technicians can be responsible for operating the control panels used to mix music tracks. They also set up equipment for recording sessions. Technicians are responsible for the proper setup of all instruments, amplifiers, speakers, microphones, mixing boards, projectors and spotlights, including running cables for power and sound transmission.
Studio managers working in the music industry usually oversee the recording studio and schedule artists for recording. Some music studio managers are also owners of the recording studio. Other job duties include overseeing marketing and advertising, designing budgets and acting as the link between clients and the engineers.
They support the movie like everybody who works on a film. Whatever the story is that is being told you want to enhance it. Music plays a big part in that. A lot of is subconscious for the audience, but a lot of it also obvious. Film composers provide the emotional glue that really holds the movie together and helps the story to be told as effectively as possible.
Recording Engineers shape the sound of an album. They record, edit, and mix sound through their choice of microphones, setting levels and sound manipulation techniques. They are well-versed in all kinds of recording technology, from analog tape to digital multitrack recording programs.
Their job focuses on recording original content, editing that content and mixing sound levels to produce a polished final product. With the use of audio mixing and engineering equipment, mixing can entail the manipulation of sound snippets, adjustment of volume, addition of effects and frequency adjustment. They can also reproduce material and synchronize sound bits to ensure that timing is appropriate. Mixing engineers can also help to repair and troubleshoot equipment that may be faulty or performing inadequately. Creatively, mixing engineers can work with musicians, vocalists, other sound technicians and music producers to lay out the structure of the finished product.
The mastering engineer is the last in a long chain of professionals who can creatively change and improve the quality of your music. They look at the overall 'picture' of the music, and they use lots of different mastering tools to process and fine-tune what they hear to try to improve what they're listening to. The sound of the finished product rests solely with them, so they have to be very careful and very accurate with everything they do in the mastering studio - the finished version will be the one going to the manufacturing plant for mass reproduction.
Record label is a brand or trademark associated with the marketing of music recordings and music videos. Often, a record label is also a publishing company that manages such brands and trademarks; coordinates the production, manufacture, distribution, marketing, promotion, and enforcement of copyright for sound recordings and music videos; conducts talent scouting and development of new artists A&R, and maintains contracts with recording artists and their managers. The term "record label" derives from the circular label in the center of a vinyl record which prominently displays the manufacturer's name, along with other information.
Within the music industry, most recording artists have become increasingly reliant upon record labels to broaden their consumer base, market their albums, and be both promoted and heard on MP3, radio, and television, with publicists that assist performers in positive media reports to market their merchandise, and make it available via stores and other media outlets. The Internet has increasingly been a way that some artists avoid costs and gain new audiences, as well as the use of videos in some cases, to sell their products.
