I HAVE A SCARY THEORY

someone has probably already thought of this, and this is also probably gonna be worded extremely badly, but leT’S GO.

Okay, so as we all know in 5.04 (end!verse episode) Lucifer and Dean are talking, and Luci says “whatever choices you make, whatever details you alter, you will always end up here.”

I’ve always thought the writers just let that go and dropped that storyline, but what if they didn’t? The darkness is turning people into zombie-like creatures, and in the end!verse, there are zombies running around everywhere. If we look at the direction that all the characters are going right now, most of them lead to the end!verse result.

In tonight’s episode, Dean wanted to take the more uhhh. murderous approach, and just kill all the rabid men, rather than wait it out like Sam said. This could be pointing to the merciless fighter Dean we see in the end!verse episode. 

Sam is infected now, and is on his way to death. This could tie into him being possessed by Lucifer because what if the only option to save Sam is to let Lucifer posses him? In the promo, Sam was seen praying to God, which is bringing up all the biblical stuff again. Crowley’s demons said Luci and Michael are going nuts in the cage? What if they’re breaking out? The writers wouldn’t just bring them up for no reason. It’s foreshadowing. 

Castiel is seriously messed up, and also in angel captivity now. What if the angels take away his grace and send him on the path leading to the stoner, human Cas we see in the end!verse? 

The darkness infection could be the croatoan virus from the end!verse episode. I’m just sayin, guys. There are a lot of things pointing to it. And if this season is the last season of the show, wouldn’t it be a dramatic way to end the series?
