Going insane and collecting drawing advice from all the artists I can before I fall asleep. What is your favourite bit of art advice, and what is your easiest piece of drawing advice?

Aw, thanks for asking! My favorite bit of art advice is maybe the Warhol quote " Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art". My easiest advice? I'm guessing you mean easiest to implement....mmmm probably that the negative space is just as if not more important to a composition and to troubleshooting a drawing than the obviously important stuff.

My headcanon is that Edwin loves when Charles physically defends him. He had to do that for himself for so long that he would be exhausted by it. Charles takes that uncertainty and unpleasant possibility away. He steps between Edwin and threats, and he threatens those who could hurt Edwin (such as the Night Nurse.)

I also think this might have a connection to Edwin's not wanting to learn to box and punch; as he said, Charles will hit the mad driller with his cricket bat.

Edwin trusts Charles so much, trusts him to protect his hard-won safety. He's safe, and he's loved, and he's not alone anymore.

He also probably finds it hot

Oh my god ok. So. 5 more pages. Honestly it’s not up to the level-of-polished that I would prefer but I needed to just let it go and move forward. I can fix stuff later if I need to. This winter has been hard. I’m always….a little too busy for my personality type? Then add depression on top of that and yeah. If I get anything done other than meeting my dog’s needs it’s been a winner of a day. Hopefully there are no glaring mistakes. 🥲 ( there were no speech bubble tails on pg 2. Fixed now. Hopefully no MORE glaring mistakes)

But yeah! Authors note aside, if you didn’t catch the hint, Crystal and Charles did try dating after WA and before this story. It doesn’t come up again so it’s not a major plot point of this story but they gave it a go. They mostly mutually decided they were better as friends. Or, really, Crystal knew it for sure and Charles kinda had to admit to himself it was true.

Charles has a habit of hearing other people talk with his self-esteem-ears on.

Crystal has a habit of being certain her perspective of stuff happening around her is completely accurate.

I love them.
